Serena leaned back lazily, a brow arched. "Sure."
She remained in her seat, her gaze sweeping casually over the petri dish. "Your basic knowledge is memorized well enough, but all of it is dead wrong."
The comment was clearly directed at Bianca.
Bianca's face shifted. "What did you just say?"
"The extraction method you mentioned... do you have a death wish?" Serena scoffed. "Your method wouldn't extract medicine. It would produce a lethal toxin."
Serena lazily lifted her eyelids, shooting Bianca a sidelong glance before looking back at the petri dish. "Once the Violet Wraith Vine mutates, its roots and stems contain a massive amount of alkaloids..."
She kept it concise, getting straight to the point of why Bianca's proposed extraction method would result in a deadly poison and the exact catastrophic risks it carried.
Finally, she cast another sideways glance. "The method you described is deeply flawed."
Bianca exploded.
"You're talking absolute nonsense!" She slammed her hand on the desk. "Serena, what the hell do you know? Do you really think showing off in Professor Warren's class makes you some peerless genius? This is our Doyle family lab's internal data, developed by dozens of PhDs and backed by clinical trials. How could it be poison? You're a high-school dropout loser, what do you know!"
The moment the words left her mouth, Bianca clamped a hand over it.
She realized she had slipped up.
The entire class looked at her, their expressions shifting subtly.
Internal data? Developed by dozens of PhDs? Backed by clinical trials?
It meant Bianca's confident, arrogant theoretical display just now wasn't her own original thought or deduction at all.
She had just been reciting an answer key.
Wasn't that basically cheating?
Especially after Bianca had just been throwing a righteous fit, swearing that Serena had colluded with the dean and Professor Warren to cheat in public.
