Messing With Her? Are You Crazy! novel Chapter 670

"I told you to shut up!" Dr. Baldur's face flushed crimson as he cut off the young doctor's boasting.

He glanced at Serena, visibly embarrassed.

Then, he clenched his fists, stepped up to her, and spoke with surprising politeness. "Since the healing broth was prepared by Miss Lancaster, we will take a sample for a rapid nutritional analysis. If there are no issues, we absolutely won't stop the patients from eating it."

He quickly added, "Please understand, Miss Lancaster, the private medical center has its rules. Any outside food containing medicinal ingredients must be sampled and analyzed. It's protocol, and it's for your grandparents' safety."

The other doctors froze.

They all looked at Baldur in surprise.

Why was a man who had always scoffed at traditional medicine being so polite to this young girl?

Even a little respectful?

Had Dr. Baldur lost his mind?

Serena glanced at him. Not wanting to create tension between her grandparents and the staff, and not caring enough to break their rules, she gave a lazy nod. "Fine. Follow protocol."

Baldur breathed a sigh of relief. He immediately brought over test tubes himself and carefully sampled the two portions.

After giving Serena another look, he actually took the vials to the lab himself.

"It should be tested!" the young doctor scoffed, still defiant. "I bet the heavy metals and bacteria in there are off the charts. When the results come back, you'll be exposed as a murderer trying to kill your own family!"

Saying that, he turned and marched toward the lab.

The other doctors were baffled by Baldur's attitude. After giving Serena skeptical looks, they swarmed after him.

Only one nurse remained in the ward, instructed to keep an eye on Holden and Kiera. Until the results were finalized, they absolutely could not consume the soup.

Inside the lab.

As the precision instruments whirred to life, data cascaded across the screens.
