“Mariano won’t allow what?” Mariano asks joining the line.

“But Damian let you do it,” she says, ignoring her mate and answering me instead.

“What did I allow?” Uncle Damian says and I turned back to them, how did they keep up with us, there’s a whole line behind us.

“Why did you leave Levent behind, he should join too,” I say giving them the side eyes.

“He’s eating with the rest of the administration, they got their own dinners, much better than ours,” Uncle Damian says.

“Why are you eating with us then?” I ask him.

“We need to stay near our students if they need us,” he answers me.

“He means in case we break out in a big fight, and decide to burn the whole place down,” Mariano comments with a giggle…

“More of you starting a food fight last time given the chance,” Uncle Damian says making me giggle, they are like little kids.

We all had our food and joined a table that’s almost full with students, we took a seat there and started to eat our food, I took very small bites, keeping an eye on Nutmeg, watching her face fall with the first bite, and it made me laugh so badly, I almost fell off my seat just watching her struggle to eat the academy food.

“Can mom pack me food for the week,” she says looking at Mariano who only chuckled at her.

“Since you’re human of origin, you can ask your mom to pack you food, and make her pack some extra, I’ll do anything for some good real food,” one of the people sitting on the table with us says.

“Can’t you leave?” I ask him, confused, Uncle Damian is in and out all the time, as is Mariano.

“First year nope, we’re locked in here,” he groans.

“How did you survive a year without Mariano?” I ask Nutmeg, turning to her, she’s so clingy, she refuses to allow a day to pass without them meeting.

“Mates get to visit,” she says happily.

“I wish I had a mate,” he says next, sounding very miserable and alone.

“Poor soul,” Nutmeg says feeling sorry for him, we finished our dinner and then went to our rooms, the guys said goodnight and gave us the chance to rest for the night and spend some time alone.

“What do you think of the academy so far?” Nutmeg asks me, wearing her pink PJ, the monotone colours were killing her vibes, she prefers pink.

“It’s okay so far,” I answer her.

“You gonna give it a chance? Or keep on fighting? You missed the rest of the classes, they aren’t that bad but it feels like high school all over again, I heard a rumour we’re gonna learn how to use a gun like the rest of them,” she says happily, which made me smile.

“I didn’t know we get to use to guns,” I say excitedly.

“It’s the military, of course, we’re gonna use guns and take tactics classes. Mariano told me about the end of the semester, there’s this big war game between different packs, the winners get a trophy,” she says.

“Okay, so maybe joining wasn’t the worse call ever,” I say, I didn’t get the chance to shift today, but waking up early and spending the whole day pouting had me exhausted, I fell asleep without any troubles.

“Peekaboo bitch,” Wolf Lotus says as soon as I fell asleep.

“What do you want?” I ask her, wanting and needing the rest.

“You don’t like being yelled at, I see,” she says.
