“It’s been months now,” I say to Lotus, she was happy, she already had her favourite food, including mashed potatoes, she passed her math exam and I didn’t have to threaten her teacher into passing her or else. She had her teasing war with Levent, and they had their fun in it, now it’s time to be serious, every night before she goes to sleep, every time, when she’s feeling good after a long day, we do the same, we move to her room and have the same talk, but tonight going to be different, I’m not taking no for answer.

“I know, not ready yet,” she answers me.

“If you keep saying you’re not ready you’ll never be ready, we’ll do it slowly, like we agreed on,” I promise her.

“But what if it hurts?” she asks me and I had to hold back my groan.

“Flower, why would it hurt?” I ask her with a raised brow

“Because it’s the first time, of course it would hurt,” she answers me and this time I was unable to hide my groan.

“Little flower, just explain where the pain comes from?” I asked her, nothing would hurt.

“It would come, I heard first time always hurt the worse,” she says and I bit down on my lips not to scream, she’s always using the same excuse every night.

“What you’re talking about and what I’m talking about are two different things, it won’t hurt,” I assure her.

“Then go ahead Little Flower, tell me where the pain would come from? Point at it, can you?” I ask her with a raised brow. And she does point to where it hurts, her heart, and I felt sorry for the little flower, I don’t mean to hurt or cause her any discomfort.

“Flower, I’ll never hurt you anywhere, but you can’t keep on pushing me away,” I say in a calm sweet voice, trying to keep her relaxed.
