Lotus POV
The day finally ended and it was time for me to get back home. I didn’t want to do so, I wanted to stay here, to stay with my uncle, I didn’t want to leave, spending time with him was the best. Roxie had made some new friends around today, and Nutmeg along with her mate finally joined us as well.
“The dog is a smart idea.” Mariano comments on Roxie.
“Thank you,” she says, hugging her dog tight.
“You ready to get back home?” Uncle asks me, and I pout, I don’t want to leave.
“Yeah, sure,” I say with the same pout on my face.
“Don’t pout. I’m coming over for dinner,” he says making me smile quickly, why didn’t he say he’s coming with us, I wouldn’t mind. leaving at all.
“Okay, let’s go,” I say getting up, Mariano is going to drive his mate and Rosie, whole I’m leaving with my uncle.
“Hope you all enjoyed your day, Mariano can show you the way out.” Uncle says, holding my hand and walking me toward his car so w could leave.

bathroom to freshen up, and wash my hands before we had dinner. I stopped at the door hearing them talking about me, and I wanted to know what they were about.
“I can’t believe you took her to the academy,” wolf objects.
“So what? You’re her dad, she can come in,” uncle whisper yell angrily.
“You’ve put her in danger,” Wolf says.
“Danger? You were fine by the idea last night, what happened? Is this about my fight?” Uncle asks confused.
“No, it’s more than that, you know what happened,” Wolf says scolding him. I didn’t know what happened, I hoped one would explain it for
“What do you mean brother? I introduced her as you daughter, a part of the snow pack, and under my protection,” Uncle says.
“But you showed how much you care for her.” Wolf says, why is that a bad thing? I cared for him as well, and didn’t see what’s wrong with that.
“Yes? And?” Uncle says.
“I’m sorry love, but I don’t understand it as well, what’s wrong with him showing love or attention, you kiss me and hug me in front of everyone,” Mom says to her wolf.
“He’s putting her out to the world as someone he cares about, and we all know how the other wolves would love to mess with him,” Wolf
says.
“You’re someone important out in the world Levent, and we never got any troubles cause of that, he’ll keep her safe, I believe in him.” Mom says, making me feel smile just a tiny bit, I loved her trust, it added to my own trust in him.
“You’re my mate, if anyone dares, dares Viktoria, they know what happenes, because you’re my mate, out loud,” Wolf says, and I could hear Uncle growl, making me jump up with fear, I must have made some kind of noises, because they all went quiet, and so I walked in.
“Dinner ready?” I ask them, pretending that I didn’t hear anything, and that everything is fine and dandy.
“Yes, I made your favourite, and we have mashed potatoes,” Mom says, making me smile.
“I love mashed potatoes, I want extra,” I say, demanding to have extra mashed potatoes, she agreed serving me double the amount of the mash,
then the rest of the dinner.
“You enjoying dinner?” Uncle asks me.
“It’s not burned.” I answer him eating my dinner and reminding him of the one dinner he burned.
“I’m cooking tomorrow, I’m going to show her, I can actually cook.” Uncle says.
“Call the fire department,” I say teasing him, making everyone lau the table, forgetting the earlier comments.

“That’s mean Lotus,” he says but I stick my tongue out at him, he licked his lips and turned to his plate ignoring me now.

“So how was your visit?” Mom asks me.
“I watched Uncle fight a women, and he lost,” I say chuckling, enjoying the teasing a lot.
“Lost?” Wolf‘ says with a smirk on his face.
“She beated his ass.” I say giggling while he stayed quiet.
“I had a friendly match with Thalia, that’s all,” Uncle says with a shrug.
“Thalia? Man, good job that you’re still alive, she’s the baddest combat fighter we had in a while,” Wolf says, I could tell she’s really good at it. but I didn’t know that she was that good.
“We had a fair fight,” Uncle says.
“Fair? It was street rules, which means no rules, she kicked him in the balls.” I say, for some stupid reason I was so excited about the fight, about the whole day I have spent with them, and him.
“Did they have a referee?” Wolf asks, and I shook my head no.
“Wolves don’t like to have one, but sometimes it’s needed,” Wolf explains to me.
“Why so?” I ask him.
“No rules, but we have some honor, we don’t kill, we don’t leave permanent scars. it’s a friendly game after all,” Wolf says.
“What if it’s not?” I ask next.
“If we’re protecting our mates, we’ll go for the kill. If it’s our pack, we’ll follow our alpha’s order, either capture, scare away, or maybe break a

rib or two to make it hurt so they won’t come back again.“Wolf”
answers me.
“Uh–huh.” I say taking in all the new information, I’m thinking of really taking some wolf class.
“This is the first conversation you two have without being one where you exchange teasing or cursing at each other,” Mom says.
“When are we having our big fight wolf? I can’t wait to kick you in the balls.” I say with a giant smile on my face, making everyone on the table laugh.
“I swear, that’s her love language,” Wolf says chuckling. I don’t hate him as much as I did before, but I’ll never confess that I like him either.
“You never know,” I answer him, keeping him on his toes.
“What about your friends?” Mom asks, keeping the conversation.
“One of her friends got a cane rosso dog, it’s a miracle it didn’t eat any of the students,” Wolf says.
“Roxie is the sweetest, she doesn’t eat people,” I object and mom rolled her eyes at me.
“Sweetie, not all dogs are puppies,” she warns me.
“But Roxie is nice and sweet,” I explain to her.
“Roxie is also trained to bite your head off if you get too close to Rosie, it’s her job to protect your friend,” Uncle explains to me.
“Can I get a Roxie?” I ask all of a sudden with a mouth filled with

mashed potatoes.
“First swallow your food,” Mom starts.
“A dog is a big responsibility,” Wolf‘ says
next.
“Don’t you feel safe with us around? You don’t need a dog to keep you
safe with me. I mean us, around,” Uncle says lastly.
“What if someone threatens me?” I ask them.
“Then you’d call me.” Uncle says.
“What if they fight first and ask questions later?” I ask next.
“Then you’d use the self–defence that we’re yet to learn to protect yourself,” Mom says.
“I’ll go like! Wait, give me a week. I’m taking self–defence classes?” I ask her and she giggles.
“You’re joining her now?” Wolf asks mom.
“She’s my baby girl,” Mom answers her.
“They can take some classes with Thalia, both of us are at the academy way too often, we’d be around if needed, and you said it, brother, she’s the best street fighter we got,” uncle suggests, almost everyone was done with their food and the boys offered to clean the table while me and mom sat and enjoyed our drink, she had red whine while I hooked up with some juice in a fancy glass to make me feel included.
“I don’t think Thalia would approve or accept. I tried talking her into it.” Wolf says.
“I’ll talk to her, don’t worry, she won’t say no to me,” Uncle says and I turned at him with a glare.
“What’s wrong flower?” Wolf asks me.
“Won’t his mate get like…uh jealous?” I ask him, feeling very angry for her.
“She would if I meant something bad or you know worth getting mad over, but Thalia would prefer to make me say she won out loud or maybe make me teach some of her classes, but it’s nothing above professional teasing,” he says making me relax a bit, okay it doesn’t sound that bad anymore.
“Professional tease? Is there a tournament for that, I wanna include the flower.” Wolf says.
“Only if you’re my opponent.” I say with a shrug, I only love teasing him and not many other people.
“I’m sure you’d have your fun bullying someone other than me,” Wolf says, and I just shrugged, dessert was served next, and the conversation kept going.
“It’ll never match,” I assure him, he’d be my favourite person to bully
ever.
“I’ll talk to Thalia you’d start tomorrow after school how about that?” Uncle says and I look at mom who just nods agreeing, so it’s a deal.
“You got a deal.” I say, happily eating my ice cream..
“I need to get going, I can’t stay here the whole night,” uncle says sadly.
