Secret.
Damian POV
“I feel bored, out of purpose, alone.” I whined to my beta, it’s weird, I’ve never felt this lonely, not when I joined the academy or graduated from, not back when I was a child never
“Are you feeling restless? Like you can’t stay in your place?” Beta asks
“Exactly that,” I say, turning to him, he’s studying psychology and likes to overanalyse everything I do and say.
“So what’s your diagnosis?” I ask seeing him think of it.
“I don’t know if you’ll like this boss,” he says, he likes to call me boss instead of alpha.
“Just say it River, out with it,” I groaned.
“You won’t try to kill me?” he asks me.
“When did I try to kill you?” I ask him, feeling offended.
“Last night, when I got you the wrong kind of ice cream,” he says.
“I take my ice cream seriously,” I remind him, and that’s why I almost killed him, but I’m also very irritated for reasons that are unknown to
“And you want me to tell you, you’ll end me,” River says with a shrug.

“River, out with it, or I’ll really do kill you,” I threaten him.
“Fine, I think you’re itching because you want to find your mate,” River says.
“And what am I supposed to do? Just call the mate and it’ll fall from the sky?” I ask him.
“No it won’t fall from the sky it might get hurt,” River says making me chuckle for real.
“How am I supposed to find it River?” I ask him with a sigh.
“I have a suggestion,” he says.
“Go ahead, tell me,” I say.
“Why don’t you move somewhere else looking for the mate?” he asks
“Move where? I can’t just move anywhere.” I say, reminding him of our situation, I have graduated from both school and military school, I don’t feel like going to college, and I’m not in the mood to move into human lands.
“Why don’t you go visit your brother? He’s living in a compound, there’s human there, there’s other pack members and if you don’t find your mate, you’d have fun spending time with your sibling,” River says.
“And if I don’t find my mate where Levent is?” I ask him, not objecting to his plan.
“Then you go visit your
sister,” he says, making me laugh out loud.
“We’ll just get to bond with the family again,” I say laughing.
“Yeah, it’s a win–win,” River says laughing as well.
And so it was set, I’m gonna move to Levent’s place for a while, just to spend some time and change the scene that I’m too used to, and then maybe who knows I’ll meet the mate
of my dreams.
“Are you coming with me? River?” I ask him.
“If you’re leaving. I can’t leave as well, one of us should stay here,” River says.
“Fine, but if I do meet her, you won’t know.” I say teasing him.
“You’ll tell me, you won’t keep her a secret, and you don’t know if it’s a she or not,” River says.
“I know it in my heart,” I answer him.
“If we’re going with heart Damian, mine is big enough to host more than just one, maybe two or three,” River says.
“Boy, don’t you have big dreams,” I say laughing.
But since the plan was made, I called Levent telling him I’m coming over to visit, but I can’t just go there and do nothing. I need to do something at all time, so I asked him to ask if there’s any job vacancy or any assignments I could get in their area.
I
“We need a new training officer.” Levent says right away on
phone.
“Can you get me assigned?” I ask him.
“Of course,” he answers me.
“Thank you brother,” I say and end the call getting my bag ready, putting all of my essentials, the academy would provide the uniforms needed, and I’ll get a place to stay since it’s an assignment, that’s the joy of being part of the military, they’ll help you move around, and they’ll help you settle down when you’re ready, we take care of our
OWIL
I said goodbye to my pack, and to my friends and to my River, the beta, he’s my bestie, and my right hand, he even offered to drive me over. but I refused telling him I’ll enjoy the long drive on my own, and I don’t want him to have to do the drive back alone.
I got in my brand new car, the military pays well, and my family helped me pay it off as a graduation gift. I loved this car, it’s extremely fast and since I’m a wolf, we won’t die, easily, and we have great reflexes, we don’t crash, not easily.
The drive from home to the compound was three hours total, but with this badboy, I made it in just under two hour. I went toward the academy first, deciding to put my stuff in there and getting settled for the night. I’ll be receiving my assignment first, and after that, later I’ll meet with my brother and his new family.
I walked in the academy and saw the youngsters running around, they were causing chaos as expected, they are only disciplined when the classes are on or someone is on them. I went straight to the director’s office, giving him my full name and my rank, and my military title, he clicked something on his PC before finally printing my new sedule and handing it over to me.
“Good luck soldier,” he says with a sigh.
“They can’t be that bad,” I answer him.
“They are the worst batch we’ve seen in a while, when your brother said you’re coming. I was ready to dance and sing,” he says with at chuckle.
“We’ll straighten them up for you,” I assure him, leaving the office and moving to search for my room, it was underneath the student’s rooms. it’s a way to make sure they stay in their rooms during the night.
“Room three–o–six.” I say out loud, opening the door with the key I was handed, but it wouldn’t open, the door was stuck, so I tried open it using some more force, but the damn door was jammed.
“Having hard time with your room?” A random guy asks me.
“You mean opening the door?” I say, turning to him with a side glare.
“Yeah, that, the doors are shitty around here, you have to push them. maybe break it in,” the guy says.
“I’m not going to break a door,” I say looking at him fully now, he tried to act innocent just shrugging and telling me that the doors here won’t work without me breaking into them.
I kept fighting with the door for the next fifteen minutes, some more students have found their way around me, all of them telling me to break the door, they even started to chant that I should break it in, break it in.
“What’s going on here?” we all heard a woman’s voice, and then the students scattered away, leaving me alone with the other lady.
“The door won’t open.” I say with a sigh
“Of course, it won’t that’s my room,” the lady says.
Secret
“Your room but it’s three–o–six.” I say feeling embarrassed, I knew how. to read, I’m not that stupid to mess up with the numbers.
“Those fucking bitches. I’m going to chew you a new one,” she yells. out loud.
“What’s going on?” I ask confused.
“This is my room, and those bitches like to pull this same prank every fucking time,” she says fixing the room number, it’s three–o–nine with the last number being flipped upside down.
“They did this before?” I ask her
