We drove back to the pack, and updated the alpha on what happened, telling them who we got on our case, and that they’re going to send someone. It could take hours or days for those people to show up, so all could do right now is wait for them to get here.

“What did she say exactly?” Mariano says.

“She’ll send someone to check on us and she’ll talk to them,” I repeat her exact words.

“Good, good, then we’ll wait, I’m going to check in with the patrols,” Mariano says leaving after checking his phone.

“Do you wanna go to our room baby? Are you hungry?” Levent started fussing over his pregnant mate, so I decided to do the same with Flower, she doesn’t need to be pregnant, she’s my baby.

“Hungry love?” I ask her, holding her closer to my chest.

“Starving,” she answers me.

“Wanna go eat?” I ask her, offering to make her something.

“Meggy wanna come?” she asks her friend.

“Yes, please, my mate left me and I feel like a third wheel,” she whines, and hold on to Flower’s arm, they both went into the kitchen when me following them.

I made them both sandwiches, and hand it to them, they started eating while I made my own sandwich next, we had small chats together, nothing too serious, everyone was shook from the attack, and I could tell they were terrified.

“Damian! Levent! Guys come out here, quick,” we heard Mariano calling to us, we ran outside worried about another attack, I was ready to shift and tear some wolves into shreds, but when I made it out, I didn’t see any wolves, instead I saw humans dressed in the military clothes.

“What’s going on?” I ask out loud, standing next to Mariano, my brother did the same, we looked like a united front.

“Alpha Damian, Lieutenant Levent, meet our new peace makers, courtesy of Captain Brooklyn,” he says giving them dirty looks.

“Peace makers?” I repeat, we expected her to send over some investigator, maybe take some statement and pictures, not to go as far as sending peace makers.

“Apparently yes,” Mariano says still glaring at them.

“Captain’s order, I’m Ezra, the one in charge of this troup,” one guy says standing forward introducing himself.

“Come inside, we need to talk,” Mariano says with a growl, this was his land and his pack, I’m just here as back up for him and my family.

We all took a seat in the office inside the house, Mariano looked, sounded, and even smelled pissed from this, we didn’t request any of that, we just did the report to make sure we don’t end up in troubles cause of their attack, especially when we stand up and defend

“And what would that be?” he asks him with a raised brow, sounding irritated.

“Why are we here? You didn’t ask us to be here,” Ezra says with a smirk, he’s a jerk.

“And why is that?” Mariano asks him.

“Captain called alpha Ronan Vile, and he threw some big threats, more troubles are to come from that pack, Captain decided it’s best we come over and offer assistance keeping you safe while she does her calls and get someone to deal with Ronan Vile,” he answers us.

“As we told your Captain, it’s us a whole ass pack, with enforcers and patrols running around the whole time, along with Alpha Damian pack and his support, we could keep ourselves safe. We simply were doing a courtesy of telling you what happened, so they’d know why we’re kicking wolves asses,” Mariano says in a growl, he was furious now.

“I know sir, but it’s my captain orders and I can’t do anything without her direct orders,” he says with a nonchalant shrug.
