“Mr Owen, I swear, she stole our homework, we worked on it so hard,” Rosie says a lone tear going down her face, she was crying, poor thing.

“What was your article about?” he asks us.

“Bullying,” all three of us reply at the same time.

“Tell me three points of the article,” he asks us.

“Bullying affects the academic of the students, people who are bullied suffer from not being able to attend the class, or get their homework stolen like us,” Nutmeg starts.

“It takes away the confidence of the students and make them more vulnerable,” I say next.

“They’d die at fifty–five,” Rosie says her voice shivering.

“You’re a wolf miss Rosalind, you won’t die that young,” Mr Owen remind her.

School went as it did in the last three weeks I’ve been here, slow. painful, but now I had friends of my own and not just Nutmeg’s friends.

“Are you two coming to the party tonight?” one of Nutmeg’s friend asks us.

“Party?” Both Rosie and I asked confused.

“A small gathering this evening, we’re gonna have a big fire, marshmallows, hotdogs, beers, you know girls the usual,” he says.

“Is it going to be just our pack or is someone joining?” Nutmeg asks.

“Snow only,” he assures her.

“Then Mariano can’t say no, I’m joining, what about you girls?” Nutmeg asks turning to us.

“If I go, then you’ll have to babysit me, I’ll ruin the fun, I better stay home,” Rosie says sadly, she clearly wanted to go but was too afraid to do so.

“I don’t mind keeping an eye on you,” Nutmeg says.

“You’re worse than my brothers, you’d probably throw me in the river to check if I’d float or not,” Rosie says, shaking her head no again.

“If you float?” the guy asks her

“Witch, and if I don’t human.” Rosic groans.

“But you’re a wolf, it doesn’t make any sense,” he says.

“I know Theo, I know.” Rosie says, we’ve been sitting with these

people for the last couple weeks and I just learned his name, the bitch knew it all along and never shared it with me.

“I just learned your name,” I answer him honestly and everyone on the table laughs at me.

“Not fair.” I pout.

“We all know each other since we were kids, she’s new the pack, of course she doesn’t know you idiots names. so better share them.” Nutmeg scolds everyone.

“I’m Theo, as you just found out, that one is Derreck, Ben, and finally, Ian.” Theo says, introducing the guys we’ve been sitting with the whole time.

“This is why you need to join us tonight, you’ll meet the rest of the pack, you wear our pin but you don’t know our names, it’s not fair,” Derreck says.

“Dee is right,” Ian agrees.

“I’ll go

if Rosie goes,” I say. I was worried of Nutmeg abandoning me and just staying with her alpha mate.

“Yeah, Rosie why don’t join us, all four of us promise to keep an eye on you,” Ben says.

“Like you do when you’re on patrol?” she asks them with a raised brow.

“Hey, it’s not our fault that we have to pass by your house every time,” Theo says.

“You mean pass by my fridge?” she says with a raised brow.

“Your mom makes killer pics and she always makes extra, can you blame us?” Derreck says.

“I’m coming, but if any of you four try to baby me, or make me feel stupid in front of the rest of the pack, I’ll–make Oscar and Oliver bite you,” she warns them.

“Who’s Oscar and Oliver?” I ask her, since I’m getting to know the whole pack.

“My twin brothers,” Rosie answers me.

“The same ones who wants to throw you in the river to check if you’re a witch,” I say, repeating her words.

“Yeah, they get to check if I’m a witch, but they’ll keep me safe not matter what, so if I tell them the four of you were messing with me, they’d bite you,” Rosie warns them.

I noticed in the last couple of days, that her confidence is getting stronger, she doesn’t mind sitting with the guys anymore, she doesn’t apologise as much as she did before, and she’s just more confident and happy. Even I the one who’s terrified of the wolves, I don’t care about sitting with a table filled with wolves, talk to them, and even planning on joining them at their party.

“You go a deal, I talk for the lot of them, we wont‘ annoy you Rosie, but you’ll promise to stay near us the whole time, or near your siblings,” Theo says.

“My siblings? Nah I’ll take you four over them any day of the week,” Rosie says.

“I didn’t know you had siblings, do they go to school with us?” I ask her, they must be sixteen like us.

“In military school, trouble makers drove mom insane and she had enough of them,” Rosie says with a shrug.

“Dad threatened me with the military school, well used to, until your brothers were sent there, after that he threatens to send me to Europe,” Jan says making all of us laugh.

The bell rang ending our time together, we had to get back to our classes, the guys are all older than us, seniors like Nutmeg and we shared no classes together, I walked away with Rosic and got to our classes.

“Rosie, you wanna come over after school?” I asked her.

“Anything to stay out of home,” she answers me.

“We’d pick what we’re going to wear.” I say happily.

But I knew I had nothing that would work, maybe I can borrow something of Rosie’s or maybe mom could miraculously buy me some new clothes that would work. Mariano was once again our designated driver, but today I decided to ask him about other transportation ways

“There’s a bus, it’s not just the school bus, it goes around the whole. compound,” he answers me. “Why don’t we take it?” I ask.

“I’d prefer to drive Nutmeg, and I don’t mind driving you along, and I know if I’m not driving you around your mom or Levent would do it,” he answers me.

“What about you Rosie?” I ask her.

“Forbidden from walking alone, I always have someone to drive me,” she answers me, that’s all because she’s the omega? She get special treatment in everything, she doesn’t get to do anything on her own, I can’t imagine living her life.

Mariano dropped us home and left back to his school, they give him time off to drive us to and from school every day, but other than that he spend most of his day in the military school. We got up to Nutmeg’s place first, and we started looking for something to wear, Nutmeg teared into her closet, she offered to give us whatever we liked, while she searched for the perfect outfit.

“Is it a girl’s thing that we want to look pretty or a pack thing?” I ask them, just so I would know what I’m dressing up for
