Levent POV
I just need to be there for her daughter, to be by her side until she gets over the pain, it’s not her job to mourn her mother day and night, it’s mine, and she needs to let me do my job, so I changed back to my human form against every instinct of mine, against my wolf, against my will. I forced myself to shift back to my human form, every bone in me screaming in pain, I didn’t want to shift back, I shouldn’t shift back, but I managed to do so.
I came back home, I signed the paper and then I went in to see her, to check on her, she was hiding in her room, she did that back when her mother was alive, but she would come out and spend some time with her mom or she would come out to go crazy on my ass.
“Flower,” I called her using my nickname for her, her mom thought it was cute, so I kept using it. “Why are you here?” she asks me confused.
“This is my home too,” I answer her.
“I know, but I thought you were supposed to be mourning for months and not come back home, Uncle Damian even said that you’ll be depressed for months and won’t come back in,” she says reminding me of my pain.
“Usually, yes, but I came back,” I say with a shrug, I’m back for her.
“Why?” she goes in her monotone voice.
“For you, Flower, you’re all that’s left from her, and I can’t let you die away,” I answer her honestly.

“What are you here to do then? Take on raising me? Just a reminder, I’m almost seventeen, I don’t need you anymore,” she says and if I had any soul or light left inside of me, I would have smiled and said she’s the size of a child.
“It’s not like that Flower,” I groan, I wasn’t in the mood to have this kind of conversation, not now and not even later.
“Then what is it like?” she says angrily.
“You can’t do this, stay hidden in your room, hide from everyone, skipping school,” I say, it’s what Damian has mentioned already.
“I don’t want to go to school anymore, I’m good staying in, and if you don’t want me in, I’ll move back to my old mother’s place,” she says, as usual skipping over the whole point I’m trying to make.
“You need to get back to school,” I say in a firm voice, but I was done pretending, I opened my arms for her, I need the hug so badly, I’m hurting so badly.
“You need a hug and so do I, come on, bring it in,” I say out loud as an answer to her look, she came close and hugged me, I took a sniff from the top of her head, she had some of viki’s smell mixed with my brother and a third one that’s just her.
“Wolf, don’t make it weird,” she says and I sighed, knowing I’ll need to let her go soon.
“I’m not, you smell like your mother,” I say explaining why I’m hugging her still.
“Hug time is over,” she finally says having enough and pushing me
away.
“I’m back for you Flower, we can both go back to our school and job,” I say, if I was strong for her, she’ll be ready to move forward, but she

shook her head no at me.
“It’s not an option, staying here. Victoria would’ve kicked your ass for at, and you know she won’t be happy.” I say gathering the rest of my energy again.
“She’s gone.” she says breaking my heart, reminding me of my lost. tears started to fall down my face.
“Victoria is gone, and I’ll forever live mourning her lost, but I won’t allow her daughter to live her life grieving, it’s my job to cry her day and night, and it’s your job to live your life, to be happy to move forward like your mother wanted you to, she even was searching universities for you, she wanted us to move there so she’d be near you the whole time.” I explain to her yet again that it’s my job to mourn her.
