"We're here."

They arrived at an old villa district with nice greenery.

"Thank you." Elizabeth Liang came to herself, then opened the door and went out before he could say anything.

James Lu looked at Elizabeth's dejected figure from behind. He frowned, then lit a cigarette, and started the car.

Elizabeth entered the living room, and to her surprise her paternal uncle August Liang and aunt Charlotte Dong were both present, sitting on the sofa in the living room and looking at something. Aunt Charlotte seemed particularly excited, overjoyed at something in her hand.

She wanted to go upstairs without being noticed, but her cousin Josephine Liang came down the stairs after only two steps.

"Elizabeth, where were you?" She asked in a displeased tone.

Elizabeth stopped and frowned. Where was she? Didn't her cousin know? Sure, Elizabeth entered the wrong room, but it was Josephine who deliberately gave her the wrong room card!

Could it be... that her cousin went to her room to look for her?

August and Charlotte turned around when they heard her. Aunt Charlotte gave a wintry smile and said, "You have the gall to come back? Do you know how much trouble you have caused our family?"

Before Elizabeth could say anything, Josephine exclaimed in surprise, "Oh my god, Elizabeth, what's all this on your body?"

Charlotte looked Elizabeth up and down, and immediately understood what had happened. Her face doused in heavy makeup twisted in disgust. "Hmph, President Lee waited for you all night, while you were fooling around with some sleazebag. You really are a little b*tch!"

Elizabeth was shocked and couldn't help but look toward the stairs. Sure enough, Theodore had seemingly appeared out of thin air. She watched as he walked steadily down the stairs one step at a time and finally stood before her.

"Theodore..." Elizabeth shook her head in confusion. "Weren't you... in France?" Why was he in her home?

Theodore looked at her and saw the colorful marks on her body. He narrowed his eyes but said nothing.

"France? Theodore never even left the country! He has always been together with Josephine!" Charlotte sneered.

At this moment, Josephine stretched out her hand and naturally linked her arm with Theodore's, and he didn't push it away.

She did it so casually, as if they'd been together for a long, long time. "You..." Elizabeth looked at Theodore incredulously. "Why, Theodore?"
