His Unveiled Passion novel Chapter 495

Confronting Tessa, the very person who had saved his father's life, the man not only failed to express his gratitude but instead cast her a peculiar glance. Worst yet, his tone carried an unsettling edge.

With his chin slightly raised, his expression was one of arrogance and indifference, even tinged with disdain.

"So, you're the one who brought my father to the hospital?" he asked.

"Yes," Tessa replied.

Furrowing her brow, she sensed that this man's demeanor hinted at ulterior motives.

As she had anticipated, his next words were, "Did you push him?"

Tessa's expression shifted subtly. A flicker of recognition crossed her eyes. It was just as she had suspected.

Sarcasm danced in her gaze as she curled her lips into a cold smile and shook her head.

"No, your father fell on his own. No one pushed him."

"Still denying it? My father's in great shape. Even in his 70s, he can still do chores around the house. If you hadn't pushed him, how could he have suddenly fallen while walking down the street?"

Then came the classic line, "If you didn't push him, why did you help him up?"

The man's expression was fierce and menacing.

Tessa couldn't help but let out a bitter laugh. "The doctor said your father suffered a sudden cerebral hemorrhage. He's still lying in the ICU. Yet, instead of showing concern, all you think about is extorting money. What a devoted son you are."

"Spare me the lectures. Three million dollars for medical expenses, nutritional supplements, and nursing care," the man retorted, holding up three fingers.

A cold smile played on Tessa's lips as she uttered three words, "In your dreams."

"You injured someone and still act so self-righteously? Three million is a bargain!" The woman beside him interjected. "Consider yourself lucky that my father survived. Otherwise, it wouldn't just be about money. You'd be facing jail time!"

"Jail time? Sure, go ahead and call the police. Let's have them sort this out," Tessa said calmly, taking a seat on a nearby bench.

The man's eyes darted around. "If three million is too much, we can settle for two."

But ever since she started working with Tessa, she'd been dealing with fools like these. None of them ever put up a real fight. It had been far too long since she'd faced a worthy opponent.

As the young man charged at her, Wynn effortlessly subdued him, leaving him groaning on the ground.

Seeing her husband and son beaten, the woman, seething with anger, threatened, "How dare you assault people in broad daylight? Do you think laws are just a suggestion? I'm calling the police! If you compensate us now, I might let this slide. Otherwise, you'll be facing jail time!"

Tessa beamed at her. "Please, go ahead and call them."

The woman, gritting her teeth, pulled out her phone. "Don't regret this!"

Tessa remained silent, her smile unwavering.

Without hesitation, she reported it to the police.

"What the hell are you doing? Why are you calling the police?" the man shouted, clearly panicked.

Tessa watched the scene unfold with amusement.
