Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 261

Hank texted to say that Shannon put a curse on him, rendering him unable to speak whenever he saw her.

When Scott saw this, he felt annoyed. He said, "Isn't this matter over and done with already? Why are you bringing it up again? Shannon just went downstairs. How could she have put a curse on you? You were talking fine just now. You even spoke to Cecily."

Hank was enraged to hear this. Upon seeing the confused expressions of the other Jensens, he started typing on his phone furiously again.

He wrote, "She put the curse on me last night, and it's specifically only her. I can speak to others normally, but I just can't speak to her!"

After reading the message, the Jensens looked at Shannon. They weren't convinced there would be such a ridiculous curse.

Alex disliked Shannon's dabbling in the mystic arts all this while. He didn't believe in such things in the first place, so when he heard Hank mention such superstitious ideas, his expression soured.

He reproached, "Why are you speaking such nonsense too? If you're bored out of your mind staying at home, go on a vacation with some of your friends."

Hank didn't expect his father, Alex, to be the first to doubt him. Also, it wasn't like he didn't want to go on a vacation. He had booked the flight tickets and packed his bags, but George ordered all the Jensens to be present at home to welcome Shannon.

As a result, his plans fell through, and Scott and Cecily's plans to join a summer camp were canceled.

If it weren't because Marie was staying at the sanatorium, George would have asked someone to get her back to the Jensen residence.

The more Hank thought about this, the more aggrieved he felt. And so, he started typing away on his phone again.

He texted, "Dad, I really can't speak right now!"

With everyone adding their two cents, Hank felt even more exasperated. However, he didn't know how to explain himself or prove what he was experiencing.

Just as he was at a loss, Shannon calmly announced, "I did put a restriction on him, and it's specifically only when he wants to talk to me."

Shannon's sudden confession stunned everyone and left them unsure how to respond. They looked at her incredulously. It turned out that Hank wasn't putting on an act, after all.

Even Scott wasn't sure what to say. At a crucial time like this, the best option was to look at Hector's response.

Hector tilted his head to look at Shannon and flashed her an indulgent smile. "As expected of my sister. You're even capable of such a curse. Amazing!"

The younger generation of the Jensen family was rendered speechless. Hector had really changed. He had always been cool and composed, but ever since Shannon returned, he had become an overly doting brother to her. One could even argue that Shannon could do no wrong in his eyes.
