When one apologized to another, they couldn't force the other party to tell them, "It's not a big deal".
Shannon didn't thank Vincent just to coerce him into saying, "You're welcome". To her, Vincent might be cold and aloof, but at the very least, he wasn't malicious toward her.
That was enough for her.
Having sensed the paces of the cameramen getting closer to her and Vincent, Shannon replied coolly, "You're right. I hate it too."
She hated it when other people caused her trouble when she was working as well. Her hatred only intensified when she couldn't get rid of the source of trouble on the spot.
Vincent frowned slightly upon hearing Shannon's answer. He tilted his head to look at her subconsciously.
Clearly, he wasn't sure if she was referring to him or other people as a burden that she greatly disliked.
Coincidentally, both cameramen caught up to them at that time. By the time they aimed their cameras at Vincent, the latter had already rearranged his expression and turned on his microphone.
Both Vincent and Shannon stopped in their tracks at the same time. They happened to be standing before a villa.
This area might have been an affluent neighborhood in the past, but few people were staying here these days. Shannon and Vincent knocked on two doors belonging to two villas in a row. Only one of the doors was opened from the inside. In fact, the housekeeper who was in charge of maintaining the villa was the one getting the door.
The pair visited the next two villas afterward. Finally, they met an actual family inhabiting one of the villas.
When the lady of the villa heard that Shannon and Vincent were filming an episode in the haunted mansion, she dared not say too much despite wanting to answer all of Vincent's questions due to how good-looking he was. She just glossed the whole thing over, claiming that those who stayed in the haunted mansion could go to her if they ever needed help.
As Shannon and Vincent walked around the whole area, they discovered the residential area was pretty vacant. They didn't interact with each other that much, leading to the viewers paying attention to their livestream channels feeling bored and dull.
"This is the first time Vinny has to film in such an empty area."
"The production crew really is inhuman for wanting to film in this creepy location."
"Vinny's manager is pretty inhuman too. After all, that person has agreed to let Vinny take part in such a weird variety show."
"Shannon's a pretty boring person, isn't she? If Olivia were here, she would've hyped up the atmosphere."
While the viewers filled the comment section with screeching comments, the old lady's hoarse and mean voice rang out loud.
"Where did you come from? What are you doing in that mansion?"
The old lady, Doris Middleton, spoke in a Haltonese accent, but everyone could understand what she was saying.
The cameramen were only in charge of filming the entire thing.
Meanwhile, Vincent approached Doris, intending to make polite small talk with her, seeing as someone was finally willing to talk to him.
"Madam, we're a part of the cast and crew belonging to a variety show called 'Sixth Sense.' We're here to film an episode, so we'll be staying in that mansion during the next three days."
Vincent looked extremely friendly whenever he smiled. Someone once claimed that no individual between the ages of 8 and 80 could ever resist his smile.
But right after Vincent's voice fell, Doris' expression darkened immensely. The next thing everyone knew, she began cursing up a storm at Vincent and Shannon.
