Heiress Unmasked: Shaking the World With Geomancy novel Chapter 175

Since "Sixth Sense" was a show centered around the supernatural and paranormal, it naturally involved visiting such places.

In order to increase its authenticity, the production team set up a hotline in the early stages of the show's preparation. There was a part of each episode where they helped solve strange incidents reported by the audience while live streaming.

This was why the guest list included not only celebrities but also figures like Gale from Windsong Monastery and the popular mystic arts live streamer.

However, Fred had chosen Shannon to boost the show's publicity rather than having any real expectations of her abilities. But when he recalled the calm and determined look in her eyes when she handed him the talisman, he started to doubt himself.

During the site inspection that day, Fred kept the talisman close to him at all times. However, despite the eerie atmosphere of the old mansion, he didn't notice anything particularly unusual.

Fred couldn't help but laugh at himself. Despite being in the industry for so long, he got scared because of a young woman's words. The talisman was probably just a harmless prank the wealthy young lady played on him.

With this thought, he bid farewell to the production team and drove home.

The old mansion was near the outskirts. It was getting late when Fred drove back to the city. The sky was initially beautiful during dusk, but as the last rays of sunlight faded, the darkening sky made Fred feel an inexplicable sense of ominousness. He felt as if a huge black net was slowly descending upon him.

Suddenly, he started to feel cold. He assumed the car's air conditioning was set too low. So, he held the steering wheel with one hand and casually adjusted the air conditioning with the other.

When his eyes swept over to the control screen, he noticed a pair of eyes staring at him from the shadows of the passenger seat footwell.

Fred's pupils dilated sharply, and before he could take a closer look, he lost control of the steering wheel.

An hour earlier, his car had suddenly lost control and crashed into the roadside guardrail with such force that the front of his car became completely dented. When the traffic police arrived, they thought it was unlikely that the driver survived.

However, aside from a few scratches, Fred was absolutely fine. Despite the horrifying crash, he didn't sustain even a mild concussion.

After recovering from the initial shock, Fred hurriedly felt for the talisman in his shirt pocket, only to find a handful of ashes. The talisman in his pocket had turned to dust. Upon realizing that the talisman had saved his life, Fred was overcome with fear and gratitude.

He recalled the pair of eyes he had seen right before the accident and felt as if he had plunged into an icy abyss. Terrified that the entity might still be around, he called Shannon desperately. He was now convinced that she was truly the Chosen One the internet claimed her to be.

At that moment, he believed that "Sixth Sense" could do without anyone but her!
