"Nothing much. I'm just giving him a chance to meet his ancestors."
Benjamin frowned. "Meet his ancestors?"
Shannon smiled and nodded. "Yes, the real ones."
When she visited the Johnsons before, she noticed that there were still a couple of ancestral spirits lingering in the Johnson residence.
The summoning talisman she cast on Bradley would allow him to have a heart-to-heart talk with his ancestors tonight. It could keep him from bothering her every day.
She was already being kind to Bradley for the sake of the late Lisa.
Otherwise, she could have cast some negative energy, which allowed Bradley to see ghosts. He would have a heart attack on his way home.
Benjamin rarely saw Shannon with such a mischievous look. It made her seem more lively.
After all, she was only 18.
Despite her young age, she often acted indifferent to everything, likely due to the neglect from the Grays.
Thinking about this, Benjamin felt a rare sense of patience toward his young fiancée.
Pressing his thin lips together, he said, "I won't be around much at the villa for the next few days. You can draw your talismans according to your own schedule."
After a pause, he added, "You don't need to stay up all night to do it."
Shannon knew he was referring to her remark about staying up all night to draw talismans while he was on a business trip.
She hadn't expected the busy Benjamin to remember such a detail.
A subtle emotion crossed her heart, but it disappeared soon.
She nodded and felt the need to explain herself. "I'm used to working through the night."
Especially when it involved carving emerald pendants, she could spend four to five hours at a stretch.
She considered setting up an array at home.
It could prevent her spiritual energy from leaking and keep her fox and the infant spirit from wandering off to bother Benjamin.
But the thought quickly vanished when she saw the size of the Jensen residence.
She didn't have that much spiritual power to waste. Setting up such an array would probably leave her exhausted every day.
Shaking off these thoughts, Shannon also put Bradley's matter behind her mind.
Bradley had forgotten about what happened earlier by the time he left the Jensen residence until he returned to the Johnson residence.
Tired, he rubbed his temples. As he entered the door, he was greeted by an enthusiastic elderly man in a suit.
"Oh, my dear grandson is back!"
Bradley's hand immediately froze. He stood rigid like a statue.
