Adam glanced at his son.
He wondered how Hector could be so shameless as to say that he was free.
Hector's department had an urgent project going on. Adam himself had three more meetings scheduled for today, but he told his assistant to postpone them all.
They did all this simply because Adam said that they hadn't spent proper time with Shannon ever since she came back.
After thinking about it for a moment, Adam felt that it made sense. So, he asked his assistant to postpone the business dinner tonight as well.
Faking a cough, Adam looked at Shannon with a rare gentle expression on his face.
"Yes, I happen to be free today. What would you like to do today?"
Shannon didn't know why they were suddenly in the mood for these things, but still…
Since young, she had never hung out with her father and brother. For a moment, she had no idea what to do on an outing with them.
Noticing the lost look in Shannon's eyes, Hector softened his emotions a little. He decisively told the driver to start the car.
"Shannon doesn't seem too fond of the dresses Aunt Linda prepared for her. Let's check out the mall first. Shannon, you can pick out your own clothes."
Adam nodded when he heard that. "Good idea."
He liked the idea of going to the mall. He could pay for his daughter's purchases.
Even though he had transferred some money to her before, he felt as if Shannon didn't use much of the money.
Seeing how enthusiastic the two were, Shannon didn't protest.
The three went to the biggest mall in Seastone City. Hector brought them right to the branded women's clothing section.
Adam had never picked clothing for his daughter before, so he stood at the entrance like a statue. Meanwhile, Hector was much more enthusiastic. He didn't feel awkward at all. He would select clothes he thought would suit Shannon. Then, he would let the sales assistant coordinate some outfits.
Shannon wasn't good at shopping for clothes. She was forced to try on more than 20 outfits.
She had good looks and a great figure, so she didn't have to be too choosy with clothes. Hector felt like every outfit looked good on her.
At first, Adam just stood by like an invisible ATM, but when he saw Hector excitedly dressing Shannon up, he couldn't help but get closer as well.
Adam truly hadn't tried fancy coffee before. He even looked a little disdainful when he held the cup in his hand, but when he saw Shannon happily sipping the coffee, he just felt his heart soften inexplicably. So, he sipped along with her.
After leaving their address down for the clothes to be sent to, they continued shopping.
The three extremely good-looking and obviously extraordinary people were walking along the streets with cups of coffee in their hands.
The contrasting scene immediately attracted the gazes of people around them. Some even sneakily took photos of the three.
Shannon was relatively sensitive to the gazes of other people, so she soon realized what was going on.
As she looked at the tailor-made suits Adam and Hector wore, her expression stiffened a little.
"The clothes you're wearing obviously aren't for shopping."
So, Adam and Hector were brought into a men's clothing store. By the time they emerged, the men's tailor-made suits were gone. Instead, they were wearing casual outfits.
Hector had always had great looks, so it went without saying that the casual outfit did nothing to hide his outstanding appearance.
Even though Adam was older than Hector and Shannon, he took proper care of himself. So, when he put on the casual outfit, he didn't look so intimidating anymore. He looked just like a mature man who was charming and handsome.
