The pair of brothers walked forward, the armors reminding Sylas of something between a cross of ancient Greece and ancient Scotland. The pleated skirts they wore seemed somehow both fabric and metallic at the same time, making the sounds of the latter while carrying the flexibility of the former.
Their leather-plated armor was etched with muscles one could be sure they had in earnest beneath, while their gazes looked ahead with a cool indifference.
This time, Sylas was paying attention. In fact, he was paying very close attention. This wasn't entirely due to the voice that had spoken earlier, but these two… they were extraordinarily powerful.
Sylas never cared much for stats. Ever since his time in the Split Realm, he had grown fond of using his Will to suss out the power of people.
He was the perfect example of why stats were so meaningless. Back when his stats were practically inferior to everyone he came across, he defeated them nonetheless.
And now his stats were superior to almost everyone in the F-tier he came across—until now, apparently—but they felt far more empty than they ever had before.
But these two… not only were their stats absolutely ridiculous, but they had a deep well of substance behind them.
No matter which of the two it was… Sylas knew that it would be a battle that brought him to the brink.
Regardless of which of the others it had been, Sylas felt like he would hardly have to lift a finger, even for Neyara.
But this pair of brothers—
'That man was, indeed, a B-tier. And these two… just might be of a B-Grade Race.'
Kraziel, the lankier of the two, looked to the side, sizing up Brama, Jala, and Alex. The trio had made themselves small a long while ago, but the Veil Human seemed able to see through the one-way glass of their ship with ease.
"He really is human," Kraziel said after a long while. "Two of his companions are human, though one is a Unitaur."
"Different strains of human, though. Which makes it curious," the bulkier Veyric replied calmly. "He carries the aura of an ape, the one with dark Aether seems some inferior, weak strain of human, while the one wearing white armor is another weak strain of human, though slightly better. They don't seem related at all."
"In this corner of the universe, powerful humans are rare. Maybe they like to band together."
As the two spoke, they never slowed their feet, and soon, they had reached the barrier.
"Do you want to go first, or should I?"
"Different strains of human, though. Which makes it curious," the bulkier Veyric replied calmly. "He carries the aura of an ape, the one with dark Aether seems some inferior, weak strain of human, while the one wearing white armor is another weak strain of human, though slightly better.
