Genetic Ascension novel Chapter 1466

[Name: Sanzi Cott][Level: 50]

Physical: 97,333][Mental: 79,14][Will: 92,289]

Sanzi calmed the rowdiness of his team.

After his loss, they managed to make it through thanks to the team round that followed. Only six of their eleven made it through the Knight rounds, but their teamwork was beyond most others due to their special abilities, so the team battle round was more suited to their tastes.

As expected, they did well to make it through.

In truth, they had always expected to have to do things in that way. It was just that Sanzi didn't expect to lose in round one before he even had a chance to feel out the rest of the teams.

Even so, their purpose here wasn't really to win outright; it was to be the support of the Ouro that had entered through a different Horizon.

The Ouro were a B+ Race that controlled multiple Horizons, and they could be considered prime candidates for the win this entry—so long as an A-Grade Race didn't appear.

What surprised Sanzi, though, was that they were being called forward much earlier than he thought they normally would be.

Two teams capable of communicating and working together in the Tower of Champions was usually a cheat code, especially in a territory battle like this one.

However, acting on that advantage too early would make it less of one.

The Ouro should be using their Boros Race as a method of checking what other regions the staircase downward might appear in. This way, they would be able to cover more area with less effort on their part, and they would know which regions they didn't need to waste time checking themselves.

Of course, the pace at which the Boros cleared these territories was also much slower, so sometimes they were used as a Swiss army knife—to obstruct other teams or maybe aid the Ouro in some sort of pincer attack.

This time, though, they had received a message even before their tower entry and during the team battles.

Unlike the preliminary rounds, tower entry wasn't uniform. Entry began as soon as the Knight and Champion rounds were concluded. Teams that failed both would then have to complete the team rounds for hopes at the final spots.

This was the real reason Sylas hadn't run into any other teams yet. Only the most powerful teams were scattered on the first floors right now, while the other teams were only just beginning to sprinkle in.

However, no one had reached the second floor just yet.

Unlike the other teams—or at least most of the other teams—their own was formulated by a cohesive group of Boros, each one of them a snake-haired people without the slightest hint of a Serpentes' aura.

it was a feeling that had fascinated Sylas once before, and it most definitely hadn't changed.

How could they be so snake-like and yet not exhibit any of their aura?

These weren't the worries Sanzi shared, though. Instead, he was tasked with the weight of trying to keep his team and that of the coming Ouro happy.
