Hudson’s expression shattered. He realized something was terribly wrong and bolted from his chair, striding toward the door.

“Amara! Stay calm! Don’t you dare do anything stupid!”

The line went dead.

Hudson called back frantically, but there was no answer. She had turned off her phone.

His brow was set in a deep scowl as he drove at breakneck speeds toward Amara’s villa.

Hudson bypassed the security and threw the front door open.

He found Amara lying deathly still on the sofa. Her arm hung off the side, and a pool of dark blood was spreading across the white marble floor from her wrist.

Hudson turned pale with shock as he lunged toward her.

“Amara!”

Amara forced her eyelids open for a fraction of a second.

“Hudson…”

She managed to whisper his name before her eyes rolled back and she lost consciousness.

“Amara! Stay with me!”

Hudson reached the sofa and scooped her limp body into his arms, sprinting back out the door.

Kevin, who had been following behind, was frozen with pure horror at the sight.
