Forced Marriage To The Secret Billionaire novel Chapter 41

AUTHOR'S POV

“ Who is this Grandfather and where is this home, Silas? ” Sara questioned truthfully instead of pretending to not know anything.

She could investigate about it but she wanted to hear about it from Silas.

Silas looked at her for longer than a moment. For once, he thought about telling her the truth like Grandfather Albert had suggested.

“ Do you tell me everything? ” Silas counter questioned Sara who pursed her lips realizing that he wouldn't tell her anything.

It was plausible though. She was not telling him anything about herself so he was not ready to tell her anything about himself.

“ Don't tell me. I am not interested anymore. ” Sara knew she was lying and Silas too knew she was lying about this not interested part.

The curiosity was clearly burning in her eyes and the need to get an answer out of him was stronger than ever but Sara decided to leave all this questioning.

Silence fell between them and they both stared at each other not moving from their spots.

Why did Sara come here? She was trying to recall the reason or what she intended to do but nothing was coming to her mind. She came here purely in a trance.

“ Silas... ” Sara sighed out finally and marched toward him before stopping a step away.

“ What? ” He raised his eyebrow wondering what was it she wanted to say now.

She was unphased when he was being humiliated because of her and now she was here. Why? Silas was once again having a hard time understanding Sara.

He couldn't help but realize that his ego and pride was getting his best here. Was he hurting her again? He wondered about it and inhaled deeply.

Grandfather Albert was right...

Sara was everywhere.

In his thoughts.

In his talks.

In his mind.

In his heart.

In his life.

She came and claimed everything but never gave any part of herself to him.

He snapped out of his thoughts when he felt the soft touch of her fingers over his right cheek. It was the same spot where Grandmother Eloise had hit him.

He gritted his teeth and focused back on Sara who was inspecting his face with a frown plastered over her forehead.

Sara didn't know what she was doing anymore. She just knew Grandmother Eloise had hurt his pride, his ego.

If Grandmother Eloise had slapped her, she wouldn't even blink her eyes. She was used to all that torture.

But Silas...

He didn't seem like he was used to such humiliation. It was what hurted Sara's heart.

It happened because of her. Silas should have just let Aunt Aria hit her. It wouldn't be the first time someone from that family would have tried hitting her.

No one had tried protecting her before.

“ What - What was this for? ” Silas's heart was beating fast in his chest, his wide eyes fixed at Sara whose face was turning red.

“ I don't like keeping favors. ” Sara cleared her throat and lied straight to his face, while she tried to feel less embarrassed.

“ You think you can repay me by kissing me on my cheek? ” Silas's tone was teasing as he leaned closer and puckered his lips out.

“ Give me a real kiss and I will consider us equal. ” He pointed toward his mouth as Sara threw him a side disgusted look.

Was he serious? Sara wondered and noticed the shine of amusement in his eyes.

She breathed through her nose. He was just teasing her. He didn't expect her to actually kiss him right now.

Pursing her lips, Sara raised both her hands and grabbed Silas's face from both sides, causing his lips to form a pout.

Silas's amused eyes went wide again as Sara pulled him down by his face. Her expressions were fierce and determined.

She leaned in and plastered her lips over his, giving him a smooch before leaning back with victorious and embarrassed expressions, combined.

“ Here it is! ” She patted his face and brought her hands down, while Silas stayed in the same position feeling dumbfounded by what she just did.

“ We. Are. Even. Now. ” Sara raised her chin arrogantly and scoffed at him.

Internally, she was screaming at what she did but externally, she was trying to act confident. Her red face was giving everything away though.

Embarrassed out of her whims, Sara instantly turned around wanting to run away from here and then hiding herself in some hole where he could never be able to find her.

She successfully made it to the door and breathed in relief but it was only short lived.

Silas grabbed her wrist and turned her around before smashing her back against the wall. Before she could protest or scream at him, his lips came down to capture hers.
