Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 316

“Of course,” Julian said, his eyes wild. “I want the money, not the old woman’s life.”

Damien uncapped the pen, his wrist hovering over the paper.

Signing this would mean signing away assets worth tens of billions—the lifeblood of the Clarke family for generations.

But he didn’t hesitate for a second.

“Damien! Don’t sign it!”

Just as the tip of the pen was about to touch the paper, a heart-wrenching scream came from the doorway.

Everyone froze.

Damien turned to look at the entrance, his pupils contracting.

Grace stumbled into the room.

She had run so fast that one of her shoes had fallen off.

“Grace?!” For the first time, Damien’s voice was out of control. “Who let you come here? Get back!”

“I’m not leaving!” Grace’s bare foot landed on the cold concrete floor, but she seemed to feel no pain.

She glanced at her grandmother, confirmed she was mostly unharmed, and then turned to Damien. “Damien, you can’t sign that! That’s your life’s work! I’m not worth this!”

“So you know you’re not worth it?” Lilian shrieked, her face twisted with jealousy. “Grace, you bitch! Since you’re here, you can die with them!”

When Julian saw Grace, a cruel glint flashed in his eyes.

Since the woman had delivered herself to his doorstep, he might as well get them all at once.

“Well, since everyone’s here, this is much more interesting,” Julian said, grabbing the back of the grandmother’s chair and pressing a dagger to the old woman’s neck. “Damien, originally, all you had to do was sign. But now… I want you to get on your knees, bow your head to us three times, and then I’ll consider letting this old hag go!”

“Don’t!” Grace screamed. “Damien, don’t listen to him! He’s insane!”
