Five Years Wasted Now They Beg Her Back novel Chapter 266

"Ivy, can I stay with you for a while?"

Grace asked quietly, putting down the bowl.

"Of course!"

Ivy grabbed a tissue and roughly wiped Grace's face.

"My bed is your bed. My home is your home."

That night.

Grace didn't have any nightmares.

She curled up in Ivy's arms, the familiar scent of her friend's body wash a soothing comfort. It was the most peaceful sleep she'd had in half a month.

In this cold, heartless world.

There was still one person who would cry over her pain.

That was enough.

The next day.

Damien returned to Jarrow City, to the Clarke estate.

"Mr. Clarke."

His assistant, Felix, entered the study holding a black delivery box.

His expression was hesitant, as if weighing whether it was the right time to bring bad news.

"Speak."

Damien's voice was laced with ice.

"A package just arrived at the front desk. It's… addressed specifically to you."

Felix carefully placed the box on the desk.

"There's no sender information. It was a local courier."

Damien glanced at the box.

He didn't think much of it.

Until his eyes fell on the notes section of the shipping label.

Scrawled there was a single line of text:

[Want to know where Grace is?]

With a screech of his chair against the marble floor, Damien shot to his feet.

He snatched the box and, forgoing a knife, ripped the tape off with his bare hands.

With a harsh tear, the box was open.

Inside was nothing but a stack of photographs.

His hand trembling, Damien picked up the one on top.

His pupils contracted instantly.
