The staff from both departments immediately agree.
Emily thought she had made herself clear to Gina, and that she and Bonnie would be too intimidated to cause any more trouble.
However, when she sees her Uncle Sterling Sutton and Auntie Kim sitting in her own company, she realizes she had overestimated some people's bottom line.
Sterling and Kimberly are sitting in the reception room sipping tea. When they see Emily, they immediately stand up, their faces plastered with warm, affectionate smiles Emily has never seen before.
"Emily!" Kimberly rushes over and grabs her hand affectionately. "Let Auntie look at you. I always said you'd grow up to be a stunner!"
Sterling quickly chimes in, "Emily isn't just pretty, she's brilliant too!"
Among the extended relatives, the Sullivan family had always struggled the most financially. Whenever Emily used to visit her uncle's house, Sterling always acted superior, speaking condescendingly and never looking her in the eye.
Yet, Gina always insisted on sucking up to his family, which only made Noreen look down on them even more.
Emily gives a faint smile. "Have a seat, Uncle Sterling, Auntie Kim."
Sterling looks around, clicking his tongue in amazement. "Emily, this is your company? If I hadn't seen it with my own eyes, I wouldn't have believed my niece was this capable. I'll be so proud to brag about this to everyone!"
Kimberly mirrors his fawning smile. "That's what you get with a top university graduate! It's just different. If our Antonia were even half as smart and capable as you, I'd die happy!"
"Don't even get me started on my kids!"
"Exactly, no one beats Emily!"
"Gina is so lucky to have raised such a successful daughter!"
