Eleven Years All to the Wrong Man novel Chapter 219

It was seven in the evening when Evan and Nathan were released from the police station.

Neither man said a word to the other. The moment they stepped out, they went to their separate cars and drove off.

On his way back to the hospital, Nathan received a call from home. Apparently, news of his fight with Evan had reached his parents’ ears in less than half a day.

They demanded he come home immediately. Nathan had no choice but to turn the car around and head in the opposite direction of the hospital.

Meanwhile, when Evan arrived back at the hospital, he found Emma lying weakly in a hospital bed with Kelly taking care of her.

He didn’t even need to ask. He knew the baby was gone. His and Emma’s baby was gone.

If he had killed the first child unintentionally, then Emma had killed the second one on purpose.

Evan stood impassively outside the hospital room, looking through the small glass window in the door.

He didn’t make a sound or knock. He felt no desire to go inside.

At that moment, his heart was filled with rage toward Emma and Nathan. He felt that his child had died at their hands. It was her fault. It was all their fault.

Kelly had just finished wiping Emma down with a warm towel. As she wrung it out and turned to get fresh water from the bathroom, she spotted the man standing outside the door.

She froze for a second, recognizing him immediately.

But when she turned back to alert Emma, the man was gone.

When Nathan got home and walked into the living room, he found his parents sitting stiffly on the sofa, staring at him coldly.
