...and the next, she was making out with the CEO of the Hart Group in a nightclub. This blatant two-timing painted her as nothing more than a manipulative player.
"How is it possible that you can't delete them?" Nancy demanded. "Gideon, isn't network security supposed to be your specialty?"
Gideon was nursing a massive headache over the situation. "Miss, it looks like someone in the shadows is gunning for you."
Nancy didn't need to guess. The only person capable of pulling this off was Maeve Vance.
Before Nancy could even untangle the mess of the PR disaster, Landon Hart somehow managed to get her new phone number.
"Nancy, why didn't you tell me you changed your number?"
Nancy was intimately familiar with Landon's voice. Back when she was closely associated with Andres, she often interacted with his social circle. She vaguely recalled that Landon was always overly attentive whenever she was around. She hadn't thought much of it at the time, but looking back, he must have harbored feelings for her even then.
Despite the intense disgust bubbling in her chest at his sudden intrusion, she kept her true emotions perfectly masked. "I just got back to the country, so my old number was temporary. I didn't tell you the new one because it slipped my mind."
Landon's deep chuckle rumbled through the speaker. "You really are a scatterbrained little thing."
