She's really like him.

Ian didn't know how to react for a moment.

Sure, he'd had women confess their feelings to him before, but he'd always turned them down without hesitation. But she was different.

They had shared an intimate moment before.

She wasn't the first woman, but once they have that kind of close relationship with someone, it's hard to see them as just a friend.

A woman who had once been intimate with him was now pursuing him.

To treat her like he did with the other women seemed kind of heartless.

So, he hesitated for a few seconds, and then said, "You do know I'm married, right?"

Maja frowned. Of course, she knew, but that wasn't what they were discussing, was it?

Ian saw that she didn't get his hint, so he paused for a moment.

"In fact, my wife and I are quite in love."

The word "wife" was a strange word for him, actually.

The word "love" was also very strange to him.

Maja looked at him as if to say, "Are you kidding?"

As his wife, she was right here, she thought she must have misheard.

She even boldly thought that Ian must have lost his mind to say such a thing.

But Ian's face showed no sign of joking, he looked very serious, "Hmm, so there are some things that I don't need to spell out, you get me, right?"

She really didn't.

Maja even started to replay their conversation that night, afraid that she had misunderstood something.

Ian was her boss, she definitely needed to understand his thoughts.

Seeing her deep in thought, Ian thought she got it, so he didn't say anything more.

Maja ran several red lights, driving faster than she ever had, it was quite a rush.

Upon arriving at the hospital, the emergency room doctors immediately took Tricia to the resuscitation room.

Maja sat in the cold hospital corridor, deep in thought, and decided to call Neil and Cristina.

They arrived at the hospital quickly, and twenty minutes later, the corridor was filled with the sound of hurried footsteps.

Cristina was trembling with rage, she walked up to Maja and slapped her.

"Do you want to kill her?! Maja, I don't think I've done anything to hurt you, why are you always targeting Tricia? Her body is so weak, can't you leave her alone? You took her out right after she was discharged from the hospital, I'm going crazy tonight!"

Maja had just run a red light, driving very fast, and now her limbs felt weak.

Driving too fast can make your brain feel like it's suffocating, so she didn't have time to dodge Cristina's slap.

The cheek after being slapped was in pain. She instinctively looked at Neil, only to see a look of blame in his eyes, which hurt more than the slap.

"Dad, do you think I deliberately took Tricia out too?"
