Nathan held a pack of tissues and a cheap umbrella in his hand.

He quickly approached Maja, opened the umbrella, and handed her the tissues.

"Penny, you don't seem too happy?"

Maja was a bit shocked to hear his voice. She looked up at him, quickly wiped away her tears, and forced a smile.

"Nathan, what are you doing here?"

"I came to pick up some medicine for my sister. You know, she's got leg problems."

He sat next to her, holding the umbrella.

"It's so hot. How can you sit down here? What happened?"

Maja didn't feel close enough to Nathan to share her personal issues.

"It’s just a little work problem."

Her mood changed quickly, and facing someone she wasn't very familiar with, she recovered quickly.

Not far away, Ian returned to his car.
