Chapter 567 What He Left Behind
“What’s the rush? Harrison will reply to you eventually.”
Amelia thought her friend was overthinking this.
It hadn’t even been that long.
The guy had just arrived and was getting familiar with his new environment and busy with work-it was perfectly normal for him not to check his phone.
As the saying goes, when you care too much, you lose your cool.
Amelia sipped her milkshake, her beautiful eyes blinking a few times.
Suddenly, a great idea popped into her head.
“Oh, I was thinking of organizing a company team-building event at the end of the month. We could all go camping or to some resort.
“That way, you’ll have more chances to spend time with Harrison.”
She thought about how Nygard Group had been hit with one crisis after another lately, and there had been a lot of major personnel changes.
The employees were probably feeling anxious and out of place.
A short two-day, one-night getaway would be perfect-everyone could relax, and it would help build stronger bonds among the staff.
It was a win-win all around.
“Yes, yes, we absolutely have to do this. Start thinking of locations and activities. Let’s make it happen.”
Josie was completely on board with her bestie’s suggestion.
She had always loved having fun and knew how to enjoy life. Besides, she was single with no strings attached.
Whenever she had time off, she would travel all over the world, trying every kind of trip imaginable.
“Alright then, I’ll leave the location and planning to you, Ms. Hutton.” Amelia gently patted her shoulder.

Chapter 570 The Kiss She Started
Thankfully, Jeremy had been clever enough to find an excuse to move into her place back then.
Otherwise, they would probably see each other even less.
With such a rare opportunity to go out and have fun together, no matter how busy he was or how thick-skinned he had to be, he was definitely tagging along.
“Yes, yes, yes, you’re absolutely right. That’s why I brought you along.”
Amelia actually felt a little guilty after hearing all that.
The two of them chatted and laughed, and before long, they arrived near their destination.
“The car can’t go any further. Let’s get out and walk the rest of the way.”
Jeremy said as he found a good spot to park, then grabbed the bottle of water beside him and took a drink.
Amelia, who was about to get out of the car, found herself watching him drink.
His Adam’s apple bobbed slowly up and down-incredibly sexy and attractive.
Her gaze was unconsciously drawn to it, and she couldn’t look away.
She wasn’t sure if it was the hormones clouding her judgment, but she instinctively leaned over and planted a soft kiss on his flawless face.
It was just a light peck, featherlight and fleeting, but Jeremy froze instantly.
They made out passionately every single day, more than once.
But being teased like this now…
Jeremy secretly delighted in it, the corners of his lips curving into a charming arc.
He slowly twisted the cap back onto the bottle and glanced sideways at her.
Seeing her look at him with a hint of shyness, the restlessness inside him became impossible to contain.
She had never initiated a kiss before.
The next second, Jeremy leaned in and pressed his lips against her soft, rosy ones.

This time, it was no gentle peck.
He couldn’t hold back as he explored every corner of her mouth, and the temperature inside the car rose several degrees. The entire vehicle was filled with an indescribable tension and heat.
“Stop it right now. We need to get out and go. Everyone’s probably already there.”
Just as things were about to get out of control, Amelia hurriedly pushed him away, breathless.
If she hadn’t stopped him, they might have ended up doing it right there in the car.
The thought made her shake her head frantically, trying to get rid of the image.
