Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 564

Chapter 564 A New Strategy

“So what we need to do isn’t to interfere with Amelia’s work, but…” Marcelo paused, his gaze turning deep and thoughtful.

“It’s to show her that we’ve changed. Not just empty words-real, tangible actions.

“We used to be pathetic, only thinking about short-term gains, always scheming to compete with her and profit off her. Now we need to turn that around, bit by bit.”

Looking back now, it was all because that bitch Gianna had been manipulating them.

She wanted to watch the siblings tear each other apart, fighting among themselves so she could swoop in and benefit from the chaos.

“Turn it around?” Miguel murmured. “How exactly do we do that?”

“Start with the small things at the company.” Marcelo’s tone was steady. “Didn’t we used to just go through the motions at board meetings? We’d even oppose her decisions just to serve our own selfish agendas.

“From now on, we fully support every decision she makes. When she faces problems, we don’t crowd around trying to micromanage. Instead, we quietly provide whatever resources and help we can from behind the scenes, so she has nothing to worry about.

“Of course, she can’t know any of this is coming from us. At least not yet.” Marcelo added that last part.

Miguel frowned. “Help her secretly? Then how will she ever know we’ve changed?”

“She’ll find out eventually,” Marcelo said calmly. “The truth always comes out. Besides, if we let her know directly, she’ll just think we’re putting on an act.”

Maxwell’s eyes suddenly lit up as if something clicked. “That’s actually a pretty good idea.”

The three brothers seemed to have reached a consensus, and their faces finally didn’t look so miserable anymore.

“Oh right, Marcelo. Isabel is really close with Amelia, isn’t she? Why don’t you get her to put in a good word for you and help smooth things over?”

Miguel said this as if suddenly remembering something.

The eldest daughter of the Bluefields had a gentle personality and was a genuinely kind person.

She and Amelia were such good friends, and now that she knew the brothers regretted

everything and wanted to make amends, she should be happy to help, right?

After all, she wouldn’t want to see her good friend’s family torn apart either.

“She’s close with Amelia, not with me. I can’t get her to do anything-she won’t even give me the time of day.

“On top of that, the Bluefields have already set her up with someone new. I heard she’s pretty happy with the guy, and they’ve already started dating.”

Talking about this made Marcelo’s heart ache all over again.

He had chased after his ex for so long but couldn’t win her back. She had even told him that she wasn’t one to revisit old relationships.

And now she was seeing another man. He didn’t stand a chance anymore.

“Tsk, Marcelo, why are you being such a pushover? As long as she’s not married, there’s still hope. You should be a little more aggressive and just swoop in!”

Maxwell slammed his hand on the table excitedly, already spouting terrible advice.

Sure, breaking up someone else’s relationship wasn’t exactly honorable, but wasn’t happiness something you had to fight for?

If he could successfully win her over, it would just prove their relationship wasn’t that strong anyway and that Isabel still had feelings for Marcelo.

“Ha, you talk a big game. Why don’t you go do it yourself then?”

Marcelo looked at him with an amused smirk. “Patience is even closer to Amelia than Isabel is. Why don’t you go ask her for help?”

At the mention of Patience, Maxwell felt a stab in his heart too.

That woman was nothing like the gentle Isabel. Every time she saw him, she’d mock him mercilessly.

The last time she ran into him, she actually laughed and said it was hilarious watching him get played like a fool by Gianna. She even clapped and congratulated him sarcastically.

That infuriating woman.

Thinking about it made Maxwell’s heart ache even more.

When it came to hitting where it hurt, Marcelo really knew how to twist the knife.

“I’d be lucky if she didn’t throw me out the second she saw me. Don’t even think about dragging me into this.”
