Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 534

Chapter 534 Walter Called Amelia

Jeremy carefully carried the luggage into the guest room next to Amelia’s.

After all, his future father-in-law had already passed away. He wasn’t the type to be so desperate that he’d think about that kind of thing during the mourning period.

The death of his future father-in-law had indirectly given him the chance to live with Amelia, and he was already deeply grateful and content.

Of course, he would never act recklessly.

The Nygards had called Amelia, too, but she didn’t answer.

At that moment, the hurt and confusion in her heart hadn’t eased at all, and she really didn’t want to answer anyone’s call.

She seemed even sadder and more heartbroken than she had realized herself.

She just didn’t show it.

What surprised Amelia the most was that Walter had called her.

He rarely reached out unless it was urgent or important.

It wasn’t that he didn’t care or didn’t want to talk to her-he just didn’t know how to express his feelings.

Every time he wanted to express concern, it was usually Truman or one of the others who relayed it to her.

Everyone knew about the unique way Walter and she interacted, so no one really commented on it.

Despite seeing that it was Walter calling, she still answered.

“Hello, Walter,” she said.

“Mm, I heard about your dad. My condolences,” Walter said.

He wanted to say more to comfort her, but he just didn’t know how. Saying comforting things wasn’t his strong suit.

Amelia was surprised. She hadn’t expected Walter to call just to talk about this.

He knew all too well that her relationship with the Nygards was completely hostile. They’d

basically cut ties for good.

So she never expected him to reach out about it.

“I… I’m okay. Don’t worry about me,” she said.

Walter replied, “Okay. Are you free tomorrow? Let’s meet. I have something important to tell you.”

“Sure,” Amelia agreed without a second thought.

Whenever it was something serious, Walter would always call-or, if it was sensitive, meet in person. He used signal jammers to make sure no one could eavesdrop.

If he insisted on meeting, that meant this matter was definitely very important-too important to explain in a few words over the phone.

Amelia guessed it probably had something to do with Raymond.

Because he had been killed so suddenly, everyone, even the police, said it was a robbery gone

wrong.

The police were still searching for the culprit.

But Amelia suspected that it had something to do with Regina and the people behind her, and maybe even that organization.

So she guessed Walter had called to talk about this.

Maybe because she still couldn’t fully process Raymond’s death, Amelia wasn’t ready to face it or think about it yet.

She didn’t have the energy or the mood to guess or investigate what was really going on behind the scenes.

But now that Walter had reached out and asked to meet, she knew she had to go.

Maybe it wasn’t even about that. It could be for something else.

The next day, they met at a highly secure, top-secret government facility.

Someone like Walter, with his rank and status, always traveled with the top-level bodyguards, and naturally he had a secure, private place to discuss sensitive matters.

When Amelia arrived, Walter was already sitting inside, waiting.

He was incredibly tall. Even though he was over sixty, his body was still strong and firm.

His features were not just sharp but deep and commanding, radiating a powerful presence.

There was a kind of extraordinary aura that only someone who had long held a high position could have.

Every gesture, every movement, naturally exuded authority that demanded respect.

“Hello, Walter,” Amelia said obediently.

“Mm.” Walter nodded and gestured for her to sit.
