Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 508

The Heiress They Couldn’t Break

Chapter 508 A Visit Without Permission

In a wealthy family like this, having two or even three households was hardly unusual.

People could still coexist peacefully.

That was precisely why Gianna could not wait to test Emery’s reaction.

There were ways to make Emery change her mind.

After all, for so many years, Emery had been wrapped around her finger. Gianna refused to believe that this time, Emery could truly harden her heart.

Gianna was convinced that with a little maneuvering, a few soft words, some feigned misery, and the bond they had built over the years, Emery would soften again.

And if she did not, if she showed strong dissatisfaction, Gianna did not mind either.

She did not inform Miguel or Maxwell. Instead, she waited until she learned that Marcelo, Miguel, Maxwell, and her father were all out before returning to the Nygards.

She used missing Emery and the family as an excuse to come take a look, not to move back immediately.

She had deliberately avoided the male members of the family so that if things turned ugly with that foolish woman, none of them would witness it.

After all, Miguel and Maxwell were still useful to her, at least controllable for now.

Gianna arrived at the Nygard Residence quickly.

She entered the courtyard with ease and headed straight inside.

George and the maids were not surprised to see her. She had lived here for so many years.

With her former status in the household, none of the staff thought much of it and still greeted her respectfully. “Ms. Gianna.”

“Are my brothers and Dad out?” Gianna asked casually.

“Yes. The young masters and the sir are out. Only Madam is at home.”

“Alright, I know. I’ll go see Mom.” She smiled with quiet satisfaction.

She then headed straight for Emery’s room, familiar with every step.

The door was not locked, since the servants needed to come in and out to attend to her.

Without knocking or permission, they would not dare enter.

Emery did not bother locking the door either. On the contrary, she hoped that by leaving it unlocked, Raymond might come in on his own.

So Gianna pushed the door open and walked straight in.

Once inside, she locked the door behind her.

There was only one person who could enter without knocking or permission.

Hearing the sound, Emery sat up abruptly in bed, assuming Raymond had returned.

Instead, when she looked up, she saw the woman she found utterly repulsive.

“Why is it you? Who gave you permission to open the door and walk in like this? Do you have no manners or upbringing at all?”

The woman she had once loved and cherished now filled her with nothing but disgust.

“Mom, I did knock. Maybe I was too quiet and you didn’t hear me. I was worried something might have happened to you, so I came in quickly.”

Gianna lied without blinking. She was well practiced at fabricating such stories on the spot.

“What could possibly happen to me? Are you hoping something does, so you and your biological mother can move in?”

The sight of Gianna made Emery feel sick.

When you truly despised someone, it no longer mattered whether their words were sincere. Everything sounded malicious.

“How could that be? I grew up in the Nygards. Even if I’m not your biological daughter, my feelings for you go beyond blood.

“I don’t know why things turned out like this, but I’m innocent too. I didn’t get to choose how I was born.

“Mom, I’ve always treated you as my real mother. Seeing how hurt and upset you are, I couldn’t stop myself from coming to see you.”

Gianna spoke through tears, pouring emotion into every word, performing her sincerity to perfection.

Had she acted like this back in the entertainment industry, she might have collected Best Actress awards with ease.

Unfortunately, after the blow she had suffered, there was no way Emery would believe her carefully strung

lies.
