Crowned by the Man They Feared (Amelia and Jeremy) novel Chapter 483

Chapter 483 Saying It Without Saying It

Bridget just wanted to eat that dish, but there was no way she would say it out loud.

“Ohhh, I see now. Got it!” Whitney said, suddenly enlightened.

Judging from Whitney’s reaction, Bridget thought she finally understood. Her heart lifted, and her face filled with hope.

But then-

“Older folks should eat lighter food,” Whitney said kindly. “I’ll have the butler bring you other dishes.”

She turned as if to call Randy over.

Bridget was left speechless.

What was wrong with this blockhead? When did I ever tell her I want light food?

Isn’t my hint obvious enough?

I want to eat Jeremy’s cooking!

My grandson’s cooking!

“No need to change anything. Don’t make it so troublesome!” she snapped.

She was close to exploding.

Forget it. If I couldn’t eat anything, then fine. I won’t eat.

Better than cooking more food and wasting it. Wasting food is shameful.

There was so much food on the table, even the staff couldn’t finish it.

After that, she quietly went back to eating the expensive dishes in front of her.

But they tasted like cardboard.

Amelia couldn’t help smiling inside.

Bridget and Whitney were really two different people,

Such a simple thing. Why make it so complicated?

Amelia picked up the spoon and took a few of the dishes/Jeremy had made. She chose the ones that weren’t spicy and placed them onto Bridget’s plate.

“This was made by Jeremy himself,” Amelia said gently. “Why don’t you try it?”

That move truly surprised Bridget.

Still, she forced herself to stay calm and kept her proud tone. “Hm. Fine. I’ll try some young people’s food.”

“Oh, Bridget, if you don’t like it, don’t force yourself,” Whitney said at once. “Amelia isn’t making you.”

Whitney hadn’t thought much of it. She simply worried her mother-in-law might think Amelia was going against her.

“Ahem. You shut up. When did I ever say I was being forced?” Bridget snapped back.

Afraid the food might be taken away, she hurriedly shoved the dish Amelia gave her into her mouth.

“Mmm! This is really good!” Her eyes lit up. “Jeremy’s cooking is way better than all this fancy food!”

She meant it. Every word.

Bridget even sneaked a glance at Amelia.

If Amelia hadn’t served her, she probably wouldn’t have gotten a bite today.

But there was no way she would thank her. That would be too embarrassing.

So good! Too good! I want more.

At this point, even Whitney finally got it.

O

Sigh. This mother-in-law of mine is really something.

“Alright then, if it’s good, eat more,” Whitney said with a smile. “It’s not every day Jeremy cooks for himself. We’re all enjoying this thanks to Amelia.”

As she spoke, she made a point of mentioning Amelia again, letting everyone know just how important she

was.

Whitney personally put several more dishes Jeremy had made onto Bridget’s plate, making sure she had plenty to eat.

Honestly, if she wanted some, she could have just said so. Why did she always make people guess?

Whitney had thought her mother-in-law was used to fine dining and food made by top chefs. She assumed she wouldn’t care much for her son’s cooking.

After all, the things Bridget said earlier had been quite misleading.

That proud, stubborn personality really had been passed down perfectly to her son and Jeremy.

Sometimes, they were so proud and refused to express what they really think.

Thankfully, Amelia had seen through it. She really was thoughtful and observant.

Amelia watched Bridget eat so eagerly and couldn’t help feeling amused.
