Chapter 436 Invited Amelia

When Floyd heard Cora’s promise, his eyes, which had looked so dull, suddenly lit up. He nodded hard and signed “Thank you, Grandma” with his hands.
He looked like he had just received the most precious gift in the world.
But Cora didn’t feel completely at ease.
She knew that the so-called “Ms. Pretty” had a lot going on behind the scenes.
Amelia was not easy to judge-whether she was good or bad, Cora didn’t really know.
There were just too many stories and rumors about her.
Some said she was stubborn and cold-hearted, had cut ties with the Nygards, and had even taken a lot of the family’s shares-very ruthless and harsh.
Others said she was kind and capable.
She had made it big in the entertainment world, run her own company, and helped many artists become famous.
On top of that, she was also smart in science, too-a real all-around talent.
So, truth or rumor, good or bad, Cora was a bit confused.
But that day, the girl had really won over her grandson’s heart. She even got him to start talking again.
That was truly exciting and joyful.
The only problem was that this girl was also the reason her granddaughter, Sabrina, and Jeremy called off their engagement.
That was awkward.
Cora felt a little troubled.
But looking at Floyd’s hopeful eyes, she couldn’t bear to say no.
After comforting Floyd, she picked up the phone to personally invite Amelia over.
No matter what kind of rumors had been spread about Amelia, Cora didn’t care. She also didn’t think about the fact that Amelia had caused Sabrina to break off her engagement with Jeremy,
All she wanted was for her poor grandson to be happy.
Floyd had lost his parents when he was little and then suddenly fell into autism. His life was still long ahead
of him.
If there was anything-or anyone-that could make him happy, Cora wanted to do everything she could to make it happen.

Chapter 436 Invited Amelia
While she was lost in all these thoughts, the call connected,
She hurriedly spoke politely, “Hello, may I speak to Ms. Amelia?”

“Yes,” said the voice on the other end. It sounded cool at first but clear and sweet, like a songbird.
“I’m Cora Jordan. After Floyd met you before, he liked you so much. He talks about you every day and wants to see you and play with you.
“I was wondering if you might have time this weekend to come over to our house. Just to spend some time with Floyd. Would that be okay?”
Cora was a very gentle and kind older lady. She spoke softly, in a warm, friendly way that didn’t feel bossy at
all.
Since she was asking a favor for Floyd, she made sure to be extra polite.
On the other end, Amelia didn’t seem too surprised.
She understood how children with autism liked to connect with people.
After seeing how much Floyd liked her at the banquet, of course, he would want to see her again.
But about the weekend…
Amelia raised an eyebrow.
Her weekends had become so busy lately.
Whitney would call every weekend, inviting her over to the Curran Estate.
And, as if by coincidence, Jeremy-who was usually busy even on weekends—would somehow also be home.
Thinking about this, Amelia couldn’t help but smile a little.
Well, it looked like she’d have to skip them this weekend and go visit Floyd instead.
“Okay, I’ll see you then. I really like Floyd too,” Amelia said sincerely.
She really did like the boy.
He was not only handsome but also smart and talented-who wouldn’t like him?
