Natalie brought Hanley inside and had someone make him a few dishes.
After he finished eating, Hanley saw Lucas and Liana still handing out flyers.
He walked over to Lucas and asked, "Can I help you guys hand out flyers?"
Lucas looked at Hanley. "It's pretty tiring work. You think you can handle it?"
Hanley puffed out his chest. "Yes, I can do it."
Liana handed Hanley a stack of flyers and smiled at him. Hanley then joined them in handing out the flyers.
At first, Hanley was a little shy and felt dejected when people refused to take one.
Liana noticed and signed to him.
"It's okay. If this person doesn't want our flyer, the next one will."
Hanley looked at Lucas, confused, as he didn't know what Liana meant. Lucas translated for him.
"Liana says you're too ugly, so people don't want your flyers. See? We're so good at this because we're good-looking."
Liana stomped her foot angrily. How could her brother say that?
She signed furiously, “You’re translating that wrong!”
Seeing Liana was genuinely upset, Lucas finally relented. "Okay, I was just making that up. Liana was telling you not to get discouraged if someone doesn't take a flyer. The next person will."
