She had promised not to leave, saying that while her paycheck wasn't much, it was enough to keep the four of them afloat.
She wanted to support them? This was perfect.
Terence could barely suppress a grin that not even a wrecking ball could wipe off his face.
“You went from being the CEO of the Lockwood Group to just staying at home. I never once considered how you felt inside. I just thought your cooking was delicious and let you keep doing it. I’m sorry. I should have paid more attention to your feelings, to whether you were bored at home.”
Suddenly, Natalie was overcome with guilt.
Terence stroked her hair.
“What are you thinking about? Are you worried that I’ll lose my spirit just sitting at home with nothing to do? Don’t worry, I’m already looking at locations for a new restaurant and planning to hire a chef. It certainly won’t make as much money as the Lockwood Group, but it will be enough to support our family. And if I fail, I’ll still have you to take care of me, right?”
Terence smiled warmly.
Natalie suddenly realized she had been overthinking things. This was Terence, after all. He wouldn’t be defeated so easily.
“Opening a restaurant is a great idea. I’ll come and help out.”
Lucas chimed in, “We want to help, too.”
Liana quickly typed on her phone and showed it to them: "I want to help, too."
“Alright. It’s still in the planning stages, but when it opens, you can all come and help.”
