Martin Doyle said frantically, "Mr. Lockwood, if you regret offering so much money, I can give you a discount. But if you're trying to get out of paying anything at all by claiming I'm not Natalie's father, that's going too far."
Liana suddenly squeezed Natalie's hand, offering her silent support.
Terence suddenly produced a paternity test report.
"This is a paternity test report for you and Natalie. According to the results, you are not Natalie's biological father."
Martin Doyle froze. How could there be a paternity test report?
He said, "How is that possible? Mr. Lockwood, did you forge this? Natalie is my daughter! Besides, what right do you have to run a paternity test on us? I never cooperated with you. How did you get this done? Did you just fill it out yourself?"
Natalie looked at Terence in disbelief. Why would he have thought to run a paternity test on her and Martin Doyle?
Marie and Victoria were also shocked. They had never imagined that Martin Doyle wasn't Natalie's father. After all, during Natalie's five years with the Cross family, they had constantly attacked her for her humble origins and her gambling-addicted father. And now, she wasn't even this man's daughter.
Marie couldn't help but say, "Mr. Lockwood, we all know you mean well. You're afraid of being associated with an in-law like Martin Doyle, that it would bring shame to your family. So you're deliberately saying he's not her father to help Natalie sever ties with him."
"Mr. Lockwood, we can all understand how you feel. After all, even if the Lockwood family elders can tolerate Natalie, they could never tolerate such a shameless in-law. Natalie really has it good."
"It would be great if Martin Doyle wasn't her father."
"Is Terence really doing this just to save face, like they said, to help Natalie break away from Martin Doyle?"
Patrick said sharply, "Martin Doyle, do we really need a paternity test to prove you're not Natalie's father?"
"I could never understand why you were so cruel to Natalie. It turns out you're not her biological father."
"No wonder. Years ago, when Natalie was in school and won first place in a math competition, you sold her honor to someone else. Then when she got into the Helios Institute for Advanced Minds, you got her expelled. It's like striking gold twice and throwing it all away. It all makes sense now. Because you're not her father, you could slander and defame her without a second thought!"
