Caught Him Cheating My Life Restarted (Natalie) novel Chapter 390

Natalie’s words made Marie see red.

“The ring just fell on the floor. How could it disappear in a second unless someone deliberately hid it? It was you, wasn’t it?”

Nicholas rushed forward. “Who’d want your stupid ring anyway? Instead of standing around shouting, you’d be better off getting on the ground and looking for it. The ring’s too small; it probably got stuck in some nook or cranny.”

“You…”

“Me what? If I were getting married, the diamond would be at least ten carats. That way, you could actually find it if you dropped it. Yours is so tiny. You want me to get someone to bring a microscope?”

Marie was so angry she couldn't speak. Victoria had told her the wedding had already cost a lot of money, so she only bought a three-carat diamond.

That cheapskate Victoria. Her refusal to spend a little more was the reason she was being mocked now.

“Mr. Fairchild, Natalie is just a divorced woman. Is she really worth you defending her like this? Aren’t you afraid people will laugh at you?”

“You know I’m protecting her and you still dare to talk like that? Do you have a death wish?”

Nicholas’s retort almost made Marie drop dead from fury. Why did so many rich and powerful men protect her?

“Everyone saw my ring fall. Now it’s gone, and Natalie is the primary suspect.”

Marie’s voice turned vicious. “Natalie, if you don’t hand over that ring right now, I swear I’ll kill you. If you won’t let me finish my wedding ceremony, I’ll take you down with me.”

Marie was snarling like a rabid animal.

Just then, Hanley suddenly stepped forward. “I have the ring.”

Marie turned around and saw the ring in Hanley’s hand, breathing a sigh of relief.
