Linda frowned. "Natalie, we're so happy you came to see us. To be honest, when we contacted you, we were really afraid you wouldn't come."
Natalie smiled. "Madams, of course I'd come. It's getting late, let me take you to get something to eat first."
Susan waved her hand. "Natalie, we won't eat. We came to find you because we have something to give you. We hope you won't mind."
As Susan finished speaking, Linda quickly brought out their things.
"This bag has ten free-range chickens and ten big, fat geese. They're all farm-raised and very nutritious. They've been cleaned and vacuum-sealed. You can put them in the freezer. And here are a hundred farm-fresh chicken eggs and a hundred goose eggs. They're from our own geese, very healthy. You should eat more."
Seeing Linda's excitement, as if she wanted to give Natalie everything she owned, Susan chuckled. "Linda is so protective of the eggs from her geese that no one else gets to eat them. But for you, she caught the biggest and fattest geese to bring to you."
Natalie was touched. "You came all this way and brought all these things. It must have been so much trouble."
"It's no trouble at all. We were just worried you'd look down on these things from the countryside. They aren't worth much."
"These farm-fresh goods are things money can't buy. Thank you, Aunts."
Linda said with a heavy heart, "Natalie, you were married into our Cross family for five years, and you always respected us elders and were so polite. All of us old women liked you, except for that blind mother-in-law of yours."
Susan said angrily, "Don't mention her. It's bad luck."
