[BL] Accidentally Becoming the Healer of the Deranged Archduke novel Chapter 340

Chapter 340: Between Kisses

Darius’ thumb stilled on Xion’s cheek. For a fleeting second, he looked almost pained, like a man battling an ocean with nothing but bare hands—the ocean that was his lover.

Xion was so small, fragile even. He could hold him in his arms so easily, and yet it was so hard to keep him close.

Every moment when he wasn’t looking at Xion, when he couldn’t feel him close by, the restless beast in his chest would be far too eager to rip at the ribcage and jump out.

He abhorred it when Xion was beaming at others. Loathed it with a passion that bordered on murderous.

All he wanted to do was slit the throats of the one who even dared to breathe the same air as his sweetheart.

No, Darius. You are the Archduke, he scolded himself. You aren’t so crude.

But he was.

He was worse than just a little crude.

The only thing holding his wrath at bay was his little wish. He never wanted to lose the look of trust in those eyes.

Don’t want that. Don’t want him to be afraid of me.

The muscle in his jaw clenched as if he were trying his best to restrain himself.

However, just one move from the other, a fleeting touch at his lips, and everything crumbled apart.

There was no gentleness in the way he bit those sweet lips, nor was there any patience to go slower. Only raw possessive hunger to devour what was his until nothing was left.

Xion gasped against Darius’ mouth, his thin back arching as the Archduke pressed him harder against the door.

The wicked tongue explored every inch of his mouth as if this were the first time they had kissed.

Instead of pushing, Xion circled his arms around his lover’s neck and pulled him down.

A big hand slid to his waist, pulling them together until there wasn’t the slightest space left between them.

It was as if Darius was trying to consume every tremble, every soft sound, every breath Xion had ever breathed without him. Their teeth clashed briefly, but neither of them cared.

A slight moan that slipped past their entangled lips only made Darius press deeper.

The sweat beaded his forehead, and black silky strands clung to him. The tingling in his lips told him they were already swollen, parted helplessly under the harsh onslaught.

And gods, he wanted it.

All of those bruising kisses, every hungry swipe of tongue, managed to steal the thoughts from his head.

Until now, he hadn’t realized just how badly he craved this touch.

Feeling how Xion was reciprocating, Darius groaned deep in his chest, like the sound had been dragged from the pit of his soul.

His hand slid down from the heated cheek to the curve of Xion’s throat, thumb pressing lightly over his pulse. It was fluttering like wings of an angel, telling Darius that his heart was with him.

Blinking his eyes, he focused on the silver-haired elf. There was that look again, those green eyes were rimmed with strange heaviness. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
