Aurora Walton and Lucas Carter novel Chapter 1691

“I’m warning you, as long as I’m living in this house, I’ll never let you step through that door again.”

Judy looked genuinely hurt. “Wendy, I don’t understand what you mean. But I can promise you, my feelings for your brother are real. You’re really wrong about me.”

“Get out of here, you fake woman!” Wendy shouted.

Kenneth slammed his hand on the armrest, his patience finally snapping. “What the hell are you saying? Apologize to her right now.”

“In your dreams.” Wendy turned her head sharply, glaring at him. “And I’ll say this to you too, as long as I’m here, she’s not setting foot in this house.”

“You—”

Kenneth’s face darkened, and he raised his hand again, ready to discipline her.

But before he could move, Wendy shoved Judy aside and bolted toward the front door.

Seeing this, Judy pretended to panic and rushed after her. “Wendy, wait please!”

“Forget it. Let her go,” Kenneth said coldly, sinking onto the sofa with a weary sigh.

At his words, Judy stopped mid-step, lowering her gaze just enough to hide the faint flicker of triumph in her eyes.

As expected, Wendy was too impulsive to be a real threat.

She just needed to say a few sharp words, and she’d managed to drive a wedge right between the two of them.

For all her arrogance, Wendy had no idea how easily she’d just played herself.

But all of that remained only in Judy’s thoughts.
