"How could that happen? What was the reason?"
Megan couldn’t understand. Everything had been going smoothly before.
How could she just leave like that?
And the director hadn’t even informed her or Aurora.
If the director really handled things that way, wasn’t it a little unprofessional?
The assistant lowered her voice. "We only found out through some contacts in the industry.
"Apparently, Yvonne sent the message early in the morning. Mr. Smith didn’t even have a chance to refuse or negotiate.
"And you know how it is—trying to find a replacement at the last minute is impossible."
She leaned closer to Megan, looking as if she feared someone might overhear. "Right now, Mr. Smith is in a terrible mood. He’s been stressing over who could fill her spot.
"After all, no one can step in that quickly. But if the show stalls, it’ll waste the crew’s budget. Honestly, what Yvonne did was just too inconsiderate.
"So, take my advice, don’t go anywhere near Mr. Smith right now."
Hearing that, Megan finally understood. So, Yvonne had acted first and left without notice.
She hadn’t expected her to be so irresponsible.
When they’d interacted in the group chat, she hadn’t seen this side of her at all.
And online, there hadn’t been any rumors about her storming off or acting like a diva.
It seemed this sudden departure must’ve been triggered by the online backlash.
She probably wanted to get out of the spotlight and stay low for a while.
