"After all, my daughter is outstanding too. Why doesn’t Lucas like her? I just want to see who could possibly be better than you."
Hearing that, Yvonne pouted. "How good could she really be? She’s just a pretty face who happens to fit Lucas’ taste."
Her tone was laced with jealousy.
"Besides, I think she’s useless. Other than her looks, she’s got nothing."
Michelle was a little surprised. Her daughter was beautiful and poised, the kind who always drew compliments whenever they went out together.
Yet now she was admitting that Aurora was pretty.
When a woman acknowledges another woman’s beauty, it means the other must be truly stunning.
That thought made Michelle curious. Just how beautiful was this woman, if even her daughter said so?
Something like that would’ve been unthinkable before.
"Alright, get some rest."
Yvonne nodded, feeling a little disheartened. "Mom, I’ll head back tomorrow then.
"Also, make sure to tell Dad he needs to deal with the online situation as soon as possible."
"Alright, I’ll handle it," Michelle said.
After all, Yvonne was her daughter. How could she not feel protective?
Now that her daughter was being humiliated out there, practically trampled over, how could any mother tolerate that?
After hanging up, a thoughtful look flickered in Michelle’s eyes.
Yvonne, on the other hand, felt relieved. At least her mother had agreed to help.
That meant she no longer had to worry about the online chaos.
