Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1485

Chapter 1485: Everyone

Atticus stood alone in the midst of melted corpses.

Their bodies had been burned beyond recognition. One side of their faces had melted into a warped mass, while the other remained intact enough to show the twisted, horrified expression frozen at the moment of their agony.

It was as if the fire had preserved their final scream.

Atticus had meant every word. The man he suspected was responsible for everything, Emberion, laid dead beneath him. While the others suffered in their own right, Atticus had taken his time on Emberion.

The feeling of having every cell in one’s body slowly burn could not be imagined. Emberion’s screams had pierced the earth, yet they did nothing to stop Atticus.

’This is all of them.’

Atticus exhaled hot steam, feeling his rousing emotions settle. The need for retribution had made him act without much thought, yet he didn’t regret even a second of it.

They deserved everything they received.

’Hm.’

Atticus’ eyes flickered towards the sky, where Lazio, along with Magnus and Kiara, appeared.

’Looks like I wasted too much time.’

The distance between territories was far too much for them to traverse as fast as him. Without the katana art, even Atticus doubted he would have achieved it in a second.

"I-I trust all your affairs have been handled?" Lazio said, gently landing in front of him.

Atticus didn’t miss the uneasy glance he threw at the melted corpse beneath him.

’He’s cautious.’

Understandable. One could only imagine the torture he’d inflicted upon the army.

"Yes." Atticus nodded, then glanced at Magnus and Kiara. "We’ll be going with them. A friend of my leads them."

Magnus blinked.

"...a friend?"

He stared at Atticus with a ’did I hear you correctly?’ look.

Atticus coughed.

"Yes... friend. Is that so hard to believe?"

"Yes."

Atticus was taken aback by Magnus’ bluntness. But as though remembering who his grandfather was, he cleared his throat.

’That must be where I got it from.’

"Well, I’ll introduce you to her later."

"I understand it sounds unbelievable, sir, but it’s the truth," Lazio whispered to Magnus. "Though some might even say they’re more than ju—"

"Ahem."

Lazio flinched as the temperature spiked. He turned and found Atticus staring at him with a flat, cold gaze.

"Ah! Would you look at that... we’re late!"

Lazio’s will engulfed him and he shot into the sky, wanting to be as far away from Atticus as possible.

"More than friends?" Magnus asked, brow raised.

Atticus coughed again, enveloping the group with his will.

"You heard him, Grandpa. We’re late."

He ignored Magnus’ hard stare and followed Lazio as they tore across the terrain.

For the first time, there were no active threats or attacks, only the silence of the skies. To Atticus, it was peaceful.

In this silence, he allowed himself to ponder his impending meeting with a particular saint.

...

’They’re dead.’

Viscount Merek’s eyes trembled. He was seated within a large covered paniquine, cutting across the sky at high speed.

’How did he kill them... and that fast?’

Merek’s gaze flickered as he reached out to any remaining Redflames in the northern region. Every attempt came back empty.

’He wiped them out.’
