Atticus's Odyssey: Reincarnated Into A Playground novel Chapter 1244

Chapter 1244: Titans

Atticus watched as Aric’s battered arm healed as quickly as it had formed.

"You okay?" Atticus asked.

"Lucky shot." There was a frown on Aric’s face. He had been caught off guard by the sudden power boost of the twin.

Another streak of light tore into the area and landed beside the High Marshal in a force that shattered the ground. Atticus’s eyes landed on the twin of the man he had just killed, identical, down to the bald head.

He was more battered than Aric, spotting crimson blood around him. Atticus held back a smile. The berserker must have given him a run for his money.

"You killed him," the twin spat, looking at Atticus with pure hate. He had felt his twin’s death, and he looked every bit ready to tear Atticus apart.

"Enough."

High Marshal Dronvet’s cold words stopped the twin, who had been about to move.

"Atticus will be my opponent. I will grant Kelasinus the revenge he deserves."

The twin clenched his teeth and stepped back after a second.

"I will hope the rest of you can take care of the other."

The others turned their cold gazes onto Aric.

"Yes, High Marshal!"

As their voices echoed in unison, the tension in the area spiked.

Everyone locked eyes with their opponents, and a palpable silence descended upon the area.

God vs gods. Champions vs champions.

The silence shattered. The first two to move were the gods.

All the champions heard was the sound of air tearing, followed by a collision that threatened to rupture their eardrums.

A shockwave of roaring proportions blasted outwards, slamming against the champions and sending them hurtling away at fast speed.

They regained their momentum after a second and shot their gazes toward the beacon site, only for their hearts to freeze.

It was as though two titans had just clashed.

A wave of burning crimson clashed with ash grey, sending out waves of heavy force that flattened the terrain for miles.

The champions of Surnix Hold couldn’t hide their shock. They could see it. In the clash, neither of them was giving an inch! There was only one conclusion, they were evenly matched!?

How the hell was that possible?

The sight of a crimson streak raging toward them snapped them out of their reverie, and their gazes turned to see the berserker man screaming toward them. Their expressions darkened.

"We fight together and kill him quickly. We have to be ready to support the High Marshal if need be."

Korosim took charge, and the rest nodded. They turned into streaks of light that shot toward Aric with fast speed.

"Reflect Shield."

The words left his mouth, and a glowing shield sprung up between him and Atticus.

The attack landed, collapsing onto the shield and gathering at one point, absorbing into itself, before it blasted outward with a wave of roaring force that shot power and flame high into the skies.

But Atticus had already vanished, easily evading the counterblast. Dronvet’s eyes glinted, as though he had already expected it.

His arms blurred once more, and the mana responded. The air turned heavy as gravity intensified by manifold.

As it pressed down and slowed Atticus’s speed, Dronvet raised his hand, and a massive hammer formed. He brought it down like a meteor, crashing toward Atticus’s head.

But Dronvet’s eyes couldn’t help but narrow as he saw Atticus’s unflinching gaze. It suddenly flashed space black, and Dronvet felt his control over the space getting ripped from him.

Atticus vanished from his sight. The massive hammer crashed down on empty air. A surge of danger roared through Dronvet’s body as a gleaming blade screamed toward his neck.

Dronvet’s gaze darkened. His arms blurred once more, and the earlier shield sprung up between them. But Dronvet’s heart chilled as Atticus’s cold voice followed.

"Fusion."

A colorless wave suddenly erupted, wrapping around him. His figure became ethereal, down to even his weapon.

Like a ghost phasing through a wall, Atticus’s katana passed through Dronvet’s shield as though it didn’t exist, appearing inches away from his neck.

The High Marshal’s gaze tore wide open.
