Apocalyptic Disasters: Carrying a bun and hoarding supplies novel Chapter 575

Chapter 575: Leaving the Base

On the other side, Lei Qian collected all the baby clothes that he had brought with him and started packing them in a large suitcase.

"Brother—" Lei Yan stepped inside the room where Lei Qian was, and as soon as she stepped inside the room, she was startled to see the baby clothes spread all over the bed. Her eyes widened in surprise, and she looked at her brother. "Whoa, when did you collect this many baby clothes?" she asked as she made her way to the bed. Her eyes fell on the clothes that were scattered all over the bed, and she frowned before saying, "But are you quite sure that the size is all right?"

She picked up a piece of clothing and dangled it in front of her brother. The size was way too small for a human child.

Lei Qian rolled his eyes and snatched the clothes from Lei Yan before saying to her, "What do you know? Babies are all the same size. Now, stop touching the clothes of my son and do something good; start packing these clothes. I didn’t know that I brought so many clothes with me." He was in a hurry to return to Bai Meiyue’s side.

"Hey, why are you so rude? Is that how you ask your little sister for help?" Lei Yan asked with a frown on her face.

Lei Qian raised his head and glanced at his sister. This one look was enough to make Lei Yan drop her head and start working. She didn’t even dare to complain as she continued to pick up the clothes and place them in the suitcases. However, as Lei Yan raised her head, she saw the silly smile on the lips of her brother.

The man, though packing seriously, would every now and then stop and caress the clothes lying in front of him. It was clear that he was imagining the sight of his son wearing these clothes. Seeing him like this, Lei Yan shuddered. She had never seen her brother looking so soft in her life.

As if sensing her gaze, Lei Qian raised his head and shot her a look. "What are you staring at me for? Go ahead and pack up. You need to pack up the brushes and other necessities once you are done with this."

Lei Yan: "..."

She looked at her brother, who was staring at her as if she were a criminal whose trial was supposed to be held. The soft gaze with which he had looked at the clothes had long disappeared, and replacing its place was nothing but stern coldness. Seeing this, Lei Yan wanted to shed tears of blood. Why was her brother like this? Even though she was not his child, she was his sister; how could he treat her like this? It was too much!

The two siblings soon packed up all the necessities that they needed.
