"I am fine. There is no need to alert Shen Zhen," said Bai Meiyue as she shook her head and then turned to the window. Her eyes were calm as she stared at the sky that had slowly turned dark. She didn’t stop Lei Qian from moving because of the things that happened today; if they still didn’t leave, then Bai Meiyue was afraid that Yu Miaomiao would take them as cowards. Did she think that she could try to corner her, and Bai Meiyue would be fine with it? She must be dreaming for sure.

She closed her eyes and tried to ease her breathing. Even though she told Lei Qian that she was fine, her pelvis was still hurting, and her legs were aching due to carrying the weight of her body for so long. She would need a long dip in hot water; only then would she be fine.
