“Linda, just be friends with Isabella, okay? Let her handle her own love life. Everyone has their own journey, so don’t get involved in hers. It’s really not your place.”
“And you don’t need to worry about our relationships either. When we meet the right women, we’ll get married.”
“Why don’t you focus on yourself for a change? When are you going to bring a boyfriend home for us to check out?”
Linda grinned. “No one’s brave enough to ask me out. I’ve got fifteen brothers. Who would even dare?”
Her phone started ringing. It was Isabella.
She picked up, then turned to Douglas. “I have to go. You keep working, but don’t forget to eat, alright?”
“I got it. Go on.”
Douglas had never wanted Linda to leave so badly. He couldn’t handle her relentless enthusiasm for meddling in his love life. The funny thing was, she was single too, but somehow she couldn’t stop worrying about him.
Thinking about all the young men in Cabinda, Douglas honestly didn’t think any of them could measure up to Linda.
The best hotels in Cabinda were owned by The Adams Group and The White Group. Since Isabella and Ethan were both getting divorced, Isabella decided to skip the Adams hotels. Linda insisted on treating her, so they picked The White Hotel.
When Linda arrived, Isabella and the others were already waiting in a private room.
It was just Isabella, Laura, and Barbara. No guys. Linda felt relieved that Douglas had turned her down. He would have been so uncomfortable in this group.
Douglas had a crush on someone, but Linda had no idea who it was. He never seemed to act differently around anyone.
