After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 550

Jordan took the beer and shot her a look. “It’s pretty late. What made you go out for drinks now?”

Malvina just shrugged. “I was in the mood for some barbecue and a cold beer, so I went out and got them.”

He grinned. “This isn’t even late for us. Remember those days we’d work overtime and barely get home before sunrise?”

She laughed and handed him a skewer. “You probably don’t eat stuff like this much, do you? I bet your wife wouldn’t let you touch street food.”

Jordan took the skewer and bit in. “It’s just street food. It’s not going to hurt me to have it once in a while.”

“It’s actually really good.”

He nodded, still chewing. “My wife definitely doesn’t eat at food stalls and she’d never let me, either. She likes fancy places, always something upscale.”

“If she wants barbecue, we just make it at home. Usually, I’m the one grilling for her.”

Malvina took a bite and glanced at him. “I heard you, your wife, and Mr. Adams have known each other since you were kids.”

She sighed, a little wistful. “I’m jealous, honestly. Most people don’t end up with their childhood friends. You and your wife are really lucky.”

She grinned. “And Mr. Adams is so sweet to your wife. I can always see how much he cares about her.”

Jordan smiled. “Yeah, Ethan, my wife, and I all grew up together. Ethan really is great to her. Sometimes, seeing how close the two of them are, I get a little jealous.”

He paused, looking down at his bottle. “But my wife loves me. She chose me. I trust her.”

Natalie always clung to Ethan, and he was the one who benefited from it. Jordan might get jealous sometimes, but he never blamed Natalie for it.

Malvina gave him a teasing smile. “You’re really something, Jordan. So generous.”
