After I Stopped Loving Him novel Chapter 544

“Jordan, you really don’t have to worry. I’m starting to move on from Natalie. I want to try and win Isabella back. When she insisted on getting a divorce, that was the first time I truly felt what heartbreak was like.”

“I’ve let go of Natalie, and I don’t want to lose Isabella too.”

“Do you get what I’m saying, Jordan? Honestly, I don’t think you do. I’m not even sure what I’m saying myself. My head’s all over the place. As for everything going on with your family, I just can’t get involved. You should call Jackson instead.”

“I’m hanging up now. I could really use a drink with someone.”

Ethan ended the call. On the other end, Jordan just sat there, completely thrown off.

Ethan and Isabella were getting divorced, but now Ethan was saying he wanted her back. Did he actually love her this time?

Once he finally wrapped his head around Ethan’s words, Jordan couldn’t help muttering, “What the hell is going on? Isabella, of all people, actually managed to beat Natalie?”

Suddenly, it all made sense. No wonder Natalie always went after Isabella and even treated Cynthia so coldly. Women’s intuition was scary sometimes. Natalie must have sensed that Ethan was starting to care about Isabella.

When Ethan loved someone, he gave them everything. He’d put up with anything, no matter how bad it got. But once he stopped caring, he could be downright ruthless. If you crossed him, he wouldn’t give you a second chance.

All three of them had grown up together, so Natalie knew Ethan better than anyone. She was used to having both guys wrapped around her finger, always making her feel special. So, when she noticed Ethan’s feelings shifting toward Isabella, she couldn’t help but see Isabella as her biggest threat.

After marrying Ethan, Isabella got a lot smarter, too. She wasn’t so easy to push around anymore. Every time Jordan and Natalie tried to set her up, she managed to come out on top.
