Abandoned by All I Took It All Back novel Chapter 475

After dinner, Grace and Janina dragged a reluctant Easton to Summer's rented house.

The two homes were close, only a two-minute walk apart.

Grace went up and knocked on the door twice.

"Coming!" Summer's voice called from inside.

At the sound of her voice, Easton instinctively tried to leave, but Grace grabbed him firmly.

"Where do you think you're going? You're over thirty, stop acting like a child."

The door creaked open. Seeing the three of them standing outside, Summer wasn't particularly surprised and quickly welcomed them in.

"Mom, Dad, we have guests!" Summer called towards the kitchen.

Immediately, Summer's mother and father, both wearing aprons, came out. The elderly couple was very hospitable, warmly offering them fruit, candy, and pastries.

"My dear, you must all come to our house for New Year's dinner tomorrow," Grace began. "Summer and our Nina are good friends, so you're like family. Don't be polite. Besides, Easton and Fairchild have troubled Summer so often, I feel terrible about it. A reunion dinner is all about the festive atmosphere, so I came to ask you personally."

Although Grace looked younger than Summer's mother, she was actually two years older, so addressing her so warmly was natural. Summer's mother exchanged a look with her husband, feeling a bit embarrassed. Her daughter had already told them about the Holts' invitation, but she had assumed it was just a polite gesture. She hadn't expected Grace to come and invite them in person.

"Grace, this… you're making me blush. It's too much trouble for you all."

Summer's mother felt a little flustered, but seeing Grace's sincerity, she found it hard to refuse.

Grace waved her hand. "If anyone's been a trouble, it's our Easton and Fairchild troubling you. We're so grateful to Summer for looking after them."

Grace was completely unaware that her words had made the two people in question blush.
